Okay I wouldn’t have brought up the cast thing if I knew that immediately after Sam would get drunk and beg Dean to kill him if he started turning evil

First off, that was both the saddest and cutest thing I’ve ever seen

Second, “You’re bossy…and short” is the most little brother thing I’ve ever heard in my life

Third, I think that’s the most Dean has ever acted like a DAD to Sam since this show started. That was such a parental tone. They obviously have this codependent thing going on, and John was definitely a neglectful father at best, but Dean straight up acted like a father for a second there. He seems to be more like a dad to Sam than John ever was, which is downright depressing when you remember that Dean said he never had a childhood and has likely been Sam’s primary caretaker since he was four years old. Dean doesn’t take care of Sam just because they’re brothers and the only family they have left. That’s his son

I will say though I’m starting to get confused about Sam’s arm cast. I think he broke his wrist in episode 3 and it’s episode 11 now. The original comment about him breaking it was so fast that I honestly thought it was just quickly written in to later explain why his ACTOR had a cast on his arm, but the way he’s using his hand, putting pressure on it and stuff, is telling me that’s it’s just a prop??? But it’s been there for so long. They never bring it up. I’m so confused
