I want to write about Lily Evans. The brightest witch of her age. The girl was worth waiting for. Bright hair but brighter eyes. The smarts to know how to kill a man but the smarts to also know when not to. The beauty of the flower she was named for. James Potter wasn’t the only one in love with Lily Evans. He’s just who she chose in the end. James loved her for her fight. Her fierce love. For her kindness Remus loved how she always remembers things, big and little - It didn’t matter, she always will remember the full moon, birthdays, anything and everything. Sirius, for all his hatred for his Slytherin family he loved her cunningness. Her snap. Her anger.

Just saying,

James is the spoiled one in the relationship. He’s used to getting all he wants because Effie and Monty would indulge his every whim. He’s dramatic as shit, loud, confident, but so theatrical about it.

Regulus is the more quiet one (though not shy or insecure AT ALL. This man was meant to inherit an empire and associate (if not better) the most powerful wizards, be honest with yourself, he was be confident and stoic), and if he wanted something, he had to take it for himself seeing as his parents mostly focused on Sirius for 15 years. He’s independent.

To summarise: Regulus wears the pants in the relationship and James is just happy to be there and be pampered and be bought nice things. Regulus calls him ‘love’ and he’s gone. He wears Reg’s jumpers when he’s home alone. He’s pathetically whipped and would let Reg do anything to him. James cooks so well and makes Reg a different dish each week bc this man is used to house elf menus and that wont cut it. Regulus stands behind him, chin on his shoulder arms around his waist asking about ingredients, and James just about fucking dies—

He was Sirius Lupin for fuck’s sakes, he did not fall mortal to petty illnesses like the flu. He had conquered broken arms and dislocated ankles, the fact that a simple virus was putting him on the verge of his deathbed was ridiculous

Sirius turned around so Remus wouldn’t be able to see him scrubbing furiously at the tears that leaked out of his eyes. “Fine. ‘M fine. I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to be this much of a mess, sorry,” He whispered, dejectedly.

It’s not as if Pandora didn’t like Christmas. In fact, it was her favourite time of the year, full of harmony and unity. "Mr. Potter." Sirius' grin widened as he caught sight of his brother.

Regulus couldn't help the twitch of his lips as he nodded back,

"Mr. Lupin."

And they stood there for a moment, basking in the freedom they felt. They had singlehandedly cut off the fucked up line of the most ancient and noble house of Black.

And they were so godamn proud of it.

"I'll see you tomorrow for dinner at your's?" Sirius asked, hopeful. Regulus nodded,

"See you tomorrow, Sirius." His smile was genuine now.

The Lupin's, Potter's, and Evans' lived happily ever after, and that's canon, thank you very much.
