What if-

So we know that Megatron and Dorothy are friends right? And by the looks of it, he is regarded as family.

My headcanons for the Malto Family and Megatron is that they know how to speak Tagalog.

Alex knows it since he is Filipino. The kids kinda has a hard time with it since they are still learning, Dot probably knows how to speak it because she probably learned for her husband

Megatron on the other hand ,oh he uses it on a basis to Dorothy to talk slag about some people.

Megatron probably knows a ton if cuss words too, and he doesn't really speaks Tagalog, he only does it when he is heavily pissed or talking shit.

Plus points if bots can't understand what he is saying until they download the language module for Tagalog.

Megatron: *hears something breaks*

Megatron: puta, OPTIMUS YUNG MGA ANAK MO!! (Bitch, Optimus, your kids!!)

Some concept + fun doodles for an extremely vague Earthspark AU I’ve thought about

More below the cut because I didn’t want to clog anyone’s dash :)

I really liked the Stealth Bomber Megatron design from IDW. It might be one of my favorite Megatron designs, I just think it’s really neat (AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE FLAME TOYS FIGURE, THAT IS PROBABLY THE COOLEST FIGURE I’VE EVER SEEN)

Since Earthspark seems to take a lot of inspiration from IDW (as well as other continuities) I thought it would be neat if there was an AU where Megatron is reframed into a body similar to that one. I mixed together his regular frame, the IDW one taken from some Spotlight: Megatron panels, and the Flame Toys figure (namely the wings. how could I not include the wings). I kept his helm design largely the same bc I think on the comics it says somewhere that he always keeps his face the same and his helm shape similar?

The events of the AU would probably be something along the lines of Megatron almost dying, probably either in S2 or S3. He is comatose and badly damaged enough that he cannot wake up and his body is mostly destroyed, but he’s still alive. A long time ago, before the end of the war, Shockwave had prepared an extra frame for him in case anything happened to his current one (I would like to imagine TFE!Megs has a similar penchant for wrecking his various bodies as his IDW counterpart bc it’s funny to me lol) but left it in storage because obviously Megatron didn’t need it at the moment. So when he almost gets destroyed, he is somehow transferred into the new frame and revived. I haven’t decided yet if it’s because the Autobots found out about the super overpowered frame locked away in storage in Shockwave’s lab or if they somehow convince the Decepticons to help them.

I honestly don’t really have anything planned out for the AU lol, it is mainly born from me wanting to 1) draw cool robot designs, 2) see the Maltos interact with Megatron when he’s even larger than he already is, and 3) see Megatron struggle with the new wings preventing him from entering rooms if not folded, reacting to his emotions when he’s usually very closed off, and other various wing/flyer shenanigans

Random question: What if Cliffjumper had also become a Botanica? In the show, we REALLY don't know where he landed after disappearing in the old Decepticon base. Also, I think his flower would be the Cybertronian equivalent of red roses.

You know what? This is my Au and I do what I want with it! CLIFFJUMPER GETS TO LIVE!

Cliffjumper’s body, kept intact and “alive” by dark energon, is retrieved by the three amigos and brought back to Cybertron. Where Orobhos Septimius uses his knowledge to help bring the bot back to life. (I like the idea of the roses! I’m gonna make them blue for color contrast)

Katsudon - Yuri!!! on Ice

You might not want to be a pork cutlet, but with this recipe you can totally eat a pork cutlet!  And, really, what could be more desirable than a steaming bowl of rice, breaded pork cutlet, onions, and egg. Funnily enough, katsu and the word for victory are pronounced the same in Japanese (カツ and 勝つ, respectively), so athletes will often eat some katsudon before or after they compete. So, in honor if Yuri Katsuki’s birthday, make some tasty katsudon!

Feeds 2

Ingredients:

3 cups cooked rice ( following this recipe if you can.  Feel free to make it ahead of time and heat it up before plating, but I’ll let you know when to start cooking the rice if you want to make everything all at once)

2 boneless pork chops (and a meat mallet)

Salt and pepper

Flour for dusting

1 egg, beaten, for breading

1 cup panko

½  cup dashi stock (you can use chicken or vegetable stock if you can’t get a hold of some dashi or dashi powder)

1 Tbsp. soy sauce

2 Tbsp. mirin

2 tsp. sugar

1 small onion, sliced thin

2 eggs

¼ cup peas (alternatively, you can top it with scallions/green onions, thinly sliced nori, sesame seeds, whole snowpeas, and any combination of any of these)

Instructions:

Begin heating up some oil in a deep pan on the stove.  About ½” of oil should do.  Alternatively, if you have a deep fryer and feel comfortable using it, go ahead a use that for the pork katsu.

Use a meat mallet to pound the pork to about ¼” thick.

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, and dust them with the flour.

Dip the pork into the first beaten egg, then coat them with panko crumbs.

Once the oil is hot (get some water on your hand and flick it into the oil from a safe distance above, if it sizzles and pops, the oil is ready), place the breaded pork into the oil.  Fry them until golden brown on each side.  Once they’re cooked, remove them from the oil, and set them aside on a plate with some paper towels to absorb the excess oil.

If you haven’t already made your rice, start cooking it now, using this recipe.

Add the stock, soy sauce, mirin and sugar to a pan (one big enough to hold both pork chops) and bring it to a simmer.  Add in the onions and cover the pan with a lid.

Once the onions are translucent, slice the pork katsu, and carefully (as to keep the slices together, treating them as if it were still a whole cutlet) add it on top of the onions.

Beat the remaining two eggs and pour them on top of the pork katsu.  Cover the pan with the lid.

Begin portioning the rice into two bowls.

Once the eggs are done (still kind of jiggly and slimy looking, but definitely not liquid anymore.  If you’re squeamish about eggs, feel free to cook it a bit longer, but be careful not to allow the egg to become dry and fluffy), pick up the pan and slide/pour the sauce, onions, katsu, and egg onto the rice in the bowl.

Top with peas or your choice of garnish.

Reward yourself with this delicious meal. (But only after you win the skating competition, of course.)
