I don’t miss the gym anymore with a view like this. Haven’t been to a #gym since July of 2016; wasn’t sure working out at home was going to give me the same testosterone and dopamine rush, but I was dead wrong. Part of being strong is your resilience; measured by your comfort level with adaptation. Don’t let nostalgia for comfort and familiarity squander an opportunity to adapt to something new. Akela is done with having Lady in the house recuperating. He’s got a bit of a jealous bone. She did recover a bit with the antibiotics, but it looks like I will have to cull her tomorrow. She’s a sweet bird. It’s not going to be easy to euthanize her with my own hand, but it’s part of the cycle.
