anti-magic: a ramble

starting out my tumblr journey with a bit of a treatise on anti-magic because it's a subject which draws a lot of confusion that I enjoy delving into.

what is anti-magic? my analysis of the subject has come to a single conclusion: it's a negative force that nullifies or severely dampens the effects of magic most commonly as a result of non-belief/weak resolve. non-belief can come from a vast array of different sources, such as a particularly defiant mortal or a lack of faith in one's own magic.

the best ways to ward against it are, as one would expect, methods to increase one's own belief as a counterbalance, both as a weapon against mortals and as a defensive measure for oneself.

remediation; defense via removal: easier said than done, but it's important to remain confident in your magic to keep yourself from anti-magic slowly chipping at your power. ways to keep belief high are by keeping your physical workshop tidy of any unwanted clutter and keeping your physical vessel clean, both as measures to avoid anti-magic buildup via dereliction. leaving aspects of the physical in disarray leads to or is a byproduct of lower belief in oneself, which subsequently leads to a decreased magical output.

prevention; defense via installation: consistently training to become more powerful in whichever way you choose is a prime way to maintain a higher belief and increase self-confidence. frequent immersion within magical spaces to connect with other magic users and potentially engage in battles or other activities is also an excellent way to collectively boost confidence in each other. as a magic user, it's highly important to have a network that builds each other up.

if one reaches a point where they have entirely separated themself from non-belief, they can potentially weaponize the energy for their own use. I do this; I use a single shot anti-magic pistol as a last resort measure if a hostile threat is sufficient enough to warrant total nullification. you might be thinking "how the fuck do you weaponize anti-magic" and the answer for that is that I'm more so weaponizing years worth of non-belief and using it to my advantage as a weapon in the astral realms. I believe the topic of magic users weaponizing anti-magic deserves its own thread cause it's certainly a lengthy subject.

tldr. the physical is as important as the astral, and maintenance of the vessel and workshop is paramount in achieving a suitable defense against anti-magic.

I’m not sure if I’m totally a newbie per say but I don’t know a couple of the terms I’ve seen used on ur blog and also I’ve never actually been able to engage in Chuuni things fully irl or anything..I have a HUGE hyper-fixation on the term/trope (especially in media, I love Chuuni characters a ton and I’ve talked a bunch about the Chuuni trope and its ties to neurodivergence) and I identify hardcore with the term on a personal level but I’ve never really engaged w it with anywhere else (other than maybe alone in my head haha) so I think I’m just wondering what the expectations/rules are in the server or something like that? Some of my Favorite Methods of Traveling through Dimensions 🪽

I'm finally back!! My mortal and magical life have been a bit boring recently, so I've not really had anything to report. Final exams have also been truly awful. Despite that, I thought today I would share my favorite methods of traveling through dimensions and other realms!

My first method is through keys; its so simple! Some keys are enchanted with magic, which gives them the ability to open rifts to other realms. All you have to do is hold the key, and turn it in the air as if it was inside a lock. If you keep your desired location in mind, the key should take you there! I personally use keys the most when battling; things can get really crazy, so its best to isolate from mortals in a safe area while fighting.

Once again, we are talking about seals; they really can be used for almost anything! To travel, simplt summon your seal with your desired location in mind, and walk through it! If done right, you should end up where you wanted to go. For beginners, I'd suggest having an experienced magic user go with you in case you travel to the wrong place and get stuck! Mastering easier forms of traveling are also helpful to learn before this one.

My final method: scissors. I researched this briefly in one of my magic books, and it can be used by mortals too! All you need are enchanted scissors that are specially enhanced to travel dimensions, which can be hard for many. If I find an enchantment ritual, I could post a tutorial for anyone who desires one! Anyways, once you have your scissors, just cut a line in the air with them; it creates a dimension rip! heheh...

What is the Digiphysical? How do you access it?

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ This can be an incredibly frustrating process for anyone who isn't used to it. However, We are going to show you how!

This requires baseline knowledge of bilocation. We have reposted a guide on how to do that on our profile!

- First of all, what is the Digiphysical?

You may find yourself in our server, the Magic Outpost (shameless plug) watching others seemingly roleplay magical combat. You may find this confusing, as we are a server for real magic, right! Well, yes! That are doing magic!

The idea of Digiphysical is being both present digitally, and in a shared astral space at the same time. They are Bilocating!

The roleplay style narration is what we like to call a grounding technique. For complicated things like magic battles, or for when you are bilocating from a busy or noisy space IRL, having everyone explicitly say what they are doing helps you visualize their actions, and stay connected.

- How do you enter the Digiphysical?

⛧ follow the normal steps you may do to bilocate or astral project. Focus yourself, feel your spirit as a separate entity to your body. Keep your eyes closed.

⛧ Keep a lifeline to be able to perceive the digital space through your body's senses. Sit at your computer or hold your phone, or maybe listen to music, whatever helps.

⛧ once you can feel your body and spirit as separate, attempt to visualize the location you are trying to go to in the Digiphysical. Once you can see and hear it clearly (or even muffled or unsteady because the transcripts will help you), open your eyes.

⛧ perceive both the chat logs and the astral space at the same time. You will know you have succeeded when you can see what is going on in chat in front of your eyes, no matter how hazy it is. You have made a connection!

⛧ as you act in the Digiphysical space, write out what you are doing in chat. This may be difficult at first. However, it will make this space more accessible for everyone who wishes to project here!

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ You have now entered the Digiphysical space! Congratulations!

A (Short) Guide to Bilocation

Bilocation is the act and process of consciously astral projecting. I personally like to call bilocation “soul-splitting”, but the proper term is the one I will use in this document. Like all astral and spiritual practices, it is important to ward before you attempt Bilocation. During Bilocation, you may encounter spirits of all shapes and sizes, so protection against potentially malicious ones is not a choice. (Well, it is, but you’d be stupid to not want to be safe.)

Bilocation requires visualization, so if you have Aphantasia, unfortunately, you are out of luck.

How to Bilocate

To Bilocate, there are numerous methods. Some involve meditation, others (mostly the “old magick” ways) involve physical torture, and others involve waking yourself up during regular Astral Projection.

My method, however, is much simpler, and lacks the physical torture. I cannot affirm that this will work for everyone, however, for my many students over the years, this seems to work quite well.

First, make sure you can focus. If focus is flickering (ADHD), this can still work, as long as you keep yourself on track after distraction.

Second, you will want to relax and visualise the room around you. Force it to become clearer, until you can move and identify objects with ease. This may tire you out - for those unskilled in visualization, you may need to take breaks or work on that skill before attempting bilocation.

Third, once your visualisation of the room is solid, move your visualisation to the next room, force it to become clear, then move it to the next room. At this point, you may feel like you are actually walking between rooms, picking up different objects, etc. This is good! You want this to continue.

At this stage, you should be fully in meditation, and visualising with ease. You may even feel vibrations around your skin at this point. This is all good. You want to be feeling like the visualisation is actually happening. The hardest part now, is to go outside. Open your door, and walk outside. Do not be afraid if you see entities or spirits walking around. The door is symbolic - it is a starting point, when you step outside, you are fully bilocating now. Yes, it’s that simple. You can walk, you can fly, you can do everything you can while astrally projected, yet you are conscious.

Astral Realms

A place to go, when starting bilocation, is to your personal realm. Everyone has a realm, and there’s multiple types: Open, Closed, Personal, and Internal realms.

Open realms are spaces within the astral plane that anyone and anything can visit. These are, for example, godly realms (realms owned by a god, such as Amaterasu or Nyx), “afterlife” realms (such as hell, valhalla, etc.), and large “world” realms such as Earth’s astral counterpart, mars, and so forth. Fictional worlds and universes are also usually open.

Closed realms are places that you can only visit if you have been invited. These tend to be other people’s realms, closed culture (that you may not be a part of) realms, entity-based realms (such as specific dragon types, kitsune realms, etc) that require being or having a past life as said creature to enter, and so forth. Closed realms are usually heavily protected.

Personal realms are where things get interesting. Every entity, every person, has a realm all to themselves. It is a space where they control everything. You can instantly build a house, you can give yourself a pile of gold, you could give yourself a full gaming pc (although, i don’t know why you’d need it on the astral). These realms are completely customizable to the owner, and each person’s realm is usually shaped by their experiences and likes until they change it themselves.

To access your personal realm, you can walk into your soul, or visualise a door to which only you have the key. One can also have multiple personal realms, it just takes energy to create new ones. Every personal realm is considered “closed”, although your personal realm will need heavy warding to be fully secure.

Internal realms are realms where you may not be able to control everything, yet they are still very much a part of you. Internal realms include, but are not limited to: Higher self’s dwelling, lower self’s dwelling, soul-scapes, life-scapes, and your Past Life Regression “Library”. All of these realms are also closed to outsiders, but do not require heavy warding - as for someone to enter these realms, they would need to possess your soul.

Plane walking

Among the astral realms, the astral is separated into planes. These planes can be labeled as “lowborn” or “highborn” planes, and they follow… “observed” rules, but these rules are not concrete at all.

The “rules” of these planes are simple, and largely based on old christian belief. The higher the plane, the more “holy” the entity, the lower the plane, the more “demonic” the entity. This.. doesn’t work, in reality. There are angelic entities that come from low planes, demonics that come from higher planes, and, there’s more types of entity than just demonic and angelic, but alas.

These rules do hold some truth, as gods and angels do tend to reside higher than “regular” humans, and demonics tend to reside lower. On the “higher” planes, one can find more “valuable” realms, such as the Universal Library(A massive, guarded library). Almost all godly realms are within “higher” planes as well. On the “lower” planes, you can typically find demonic realms, animal, and oftentimes fae-based realms as well.

Walking between these planes is simple. The vibrations one feels when attempting full astral projection (instead of Biloc) are important here. Lowering and increasing vibration and frequency requires some focus. Feel the vibrations and feel them amplifying or cancelling out. You can then use this feeling to push yourself through the planes you wish to travel between.

Some planes don't require lower or increased vibrations, and some realms may require it while the plane does not. Trial and error, with experience will get you farther than this guide will.

Fellow magi's, we need to talk about internet safety.

If anything upsets you, please come back when in a better space. If anyone doesn't read even a tiny bit of this because it's too long I swear to God I will literally bang my head on the wall. May as well just reblog to spread awareness.

💻 Let's start with the basics ...

INTERNET SAFETY 101

In no specific order:

⊹🧪⁺◟Never click on suspicious links - even links that mask themselves as regular looking links exist. You can try hovering your mouse over the link (but be careful not to click) to see where it actually takes you. Install anti-virus apps so that if you happen to click something you can have any malicious hacks thwarted. If someone wants you to click on a link like "example.ngt", DO NOT. I don't care if they say it's a website for getting free movies, don't.

You can also use VPNs so any attempts to pull your IP are unsuccessful. Using nordvpn's link checker (my searching up "is this link safe" or "nordvpn linkchecker") could also help (by copypasting or retyping the link to see if it's safe). It's not 100% perfect but it's pretty good.

⊹🧪⁺◟Stranger danger - First of all, literally anyone can lie. I promise it happens more than you think and no matter how old or smart you think you are, YOU CAN FALL VICTIM TO IT. I say this with love, you are not an infallible perfect being. People easily lie about their age, where they live, what their face looks like, their gender, what happens in their lives, etc. You can be "anything" on the internet. Your online boyfriend you thought was 15 can be 19 and vice versa. Second of all I know some of you love your internet friends and love hanging out with them, but for the love of God...

⊹🧪⁺◟NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU. Not your physical / mental illnesses, the state / country you live in, your real name (even if it's just your first name), what is happening in your household, your EXACT date of birth, your face, etc. I'm saying this because people can use all of these to their advantage.

Set boundaries, make a list of what you will and will not share. If you already shared some things that you probably shouldn't, you should either delete those things or just stop talking about those things and let them fade throughout time. If your friends are not respecting those boundaries and pressuring you for information (like a face reveal), well then they suck. And YOU don't need to know everything about your online friend no matter how close you feel you guys are.

Let's just say you're in some reddit thread that has to do with your location (like, idk, r/Bolivia), at least use a different account where you talk about nothing but that. I'm no legal expert but I'm pretty sure that Information people gain legally / through YOU giving it out doesn't make it count as "doxxing". Just trust me on this one, no oversharing or at least risking being traceable is a no no (and also bro why do some of y'all use the same users, online names, and passwords for ALL of your social media accounts).

💻 PREDATORS

⊹🧪⁺◟How this happens - I'm gonna keep it a buck, most magi's or people in the manifestation / spirituality / shifting sphere are younger people. Many are minors. Adults do a shit job at explaining what grooming looks like to people because they act like p*dos are gonna go straight out the gate being like "Hi I'm a slimey sweaty p*do and I wanna violate the youngins". Usually, that's not how it happens.

They can be anyone, even people we automatically register as "safe". I hope that this comes as obvious fact but this includes queer people, women, people in the same fandoms / "safe spaces" as us, people with the same politics as us, just people who share lots of similarity with you. Even here in the small niche irl magi community. It's really scary to think that a fellow person like us who has experienced regular human things like building a snowman for the first time would harm and traumatize minors (or anyone), but that's unfortunately the reality. They may not have any obvious "red flags" until much much later.

Groomers start off by building trust. They may be influential or popular members of a community or just get to know you really well. It could go on for days, weeks, and most of the time even months. This is where you have to be firm with your boundaries because people who repeatedly try to break boundaries are trying to test them. Be extra weary of people who want to learn all about you but won't say A SINGLE word about themselves (but then again, they may be lying because, internet). The attention feels great but it's a glaring red flag to end a talk knowing nothing about a person but them knowing about all of you.

Maybe they do speak about themselves but mostly about their trauma or how bad they have it (if you're a chronic venter I'm not saying you're a groomer, but all these combined with the end result of harming minors, does). This may get you to feel bad for them or feel bad if you upset them because they're just "going through so much". But it could just be regular daily talks.

P*dos and groomers on the internet could be in a "romantic" relationship and it's still grooming. It doesn't have to be s*xual at all to still be grooming.

⊹🧪⁺◟More stuff abt grooming:

You are a minor and they're an adult. Which, yeah duh. But let me tell you that it doesn't matter how much attention they give you, how lonely you are, how "smart" and "mature" you are, or ANYTHING. It's still grooming.

You are afraid that if you leave then they will spread rumors about you, no one will believe you, they will harm themselves, etc.

Forgot to also say: even people your age shouldn't be acting like this to try to get something from you or be in a relationship.

If you see signs of these anywhere, report them to the community.

Or search up "safekidsthrive child grooming and other abuse warning signs" to find it on google.

Being a bully is just shameful loser behavior. Come on now, you're using a device with faceless people in it. It isn't that serious.

"Online harassment can include repeated attempts to impose unwanted communications or contact in a manner that could be expected to cause distress or fear." It can be illegal at times. Be normal.

Internet drama and rumors in the big 25... come on now IT IS A METAL BLOCK AND YOU'RE TAPPING BUTTONS. STOP CAUSING AND SPREADING DRAMA. IT WILL NOT MATTER IN 1 MONTH OR LESS.

If you really don't like someones concept OR if you don't have anything nice to say to someone about ANYTHING, don't say anything at all. Constructive criticism is different, and you know that.

Thank you! We chose Prince based on the gender neutral application of "prince" as a (translated) word for ruler in the small German nations pre- german empire. We tend to lean towards masc as gender neutral due to it's historic use that way in Europe :3 we are a MEGA nerd about history. Magical Combat IRL

Today we will go over how to do magical combat in real life, using techniques outlined in the anime "Love Chunibyo and other Delusions". ───── ⋆⋅♛⋅⋆ ─────

This Strategy uses some elements that are similar to how we Bilocate into areas designated for magical combat, but we will cover that in a future post.

First, It's important to know most magical creatures and skilled combatants don't allow outsiders to view their magic. since ancient times, magic has been persecuted, and the spirits remember. so you have to learn how to get in the mindset to be able to view such combat.

In "Love Chunibyo, and Other Delusions", (for which which we will use the fan abbreviation "Chuu2" from now on,) Rikka Takanashi, the Eye of the Wicked Lord, triggers her ability to engage in magical combat with a trigger phrase, similar to a mantra. she says, "Reality rejected, synapses shattered, be banished from this world" (dub). this allows her to begin to see and engage with the magical world. Your eyes and mind must be focused on the Magical Reality beyond our own despite moving your body physically. sometimes, some spiritual entities bay only exist beyond normal sight. if you want to fight them, you have to be able to see them. It's often a good strategy to pick some phrase or action (like pulling out your magical weapon, or having your transformation sequence) to help trigger this mental shift. Now, how will you know if it's worked? you will be able to see the magic being cast, or spirits present. or in some cases with a weaker connection, it will look like vividly imagining it, but you can still also see actual reality too. this works just as well, as long as you're careful not to drop the connection. Here is a clip from the anime, demonstrating a battle between two magic practitioners. For non-believers, the result is often an appearance of delusion. This is why we (us as a person, Rania) reclaim the term Chuunibyou. From this state, you will be able to battle like you would in the astral with beings residing in the physical world. be careful, however, as your physical body can be at more risk in this state. some attacks can be sustained physically, especially when fighting other practitioners. it's good to spar like this with allies often to build your ability to connect well, and also to build resistance.

Often, it's important to call out attacks when sparring or battling. this may seem counter-intuitive, but there is a reason for it. Naming your attacks allows you and your battle partner to both envision everything correctively, allowing you to mutually build your connection to the world beyond ours. clarity is essential for keeping invested in the battle. ───── ⋆⋅♛⋅⋆ ─────

The Importance of Confidence and how it effects your magic output

Ciao! We were thinking, why do all the strongest magic users we know have massive egos? It can be obnoxious, yes?

We think the answer to this lies in the reserves of your personal power, and what you can put out into the world. Manifestation of power and success is powered by one's belief in themselves and the universe to give them what they need. If one can act as if they have everything, things will be granted in return. So the ego comes first. However, the sheer grandiosity is not accounted for. Why is that so common? The answer is simple. It is fun. It is camp. And it makes you feel good.

Greetings denizens of the world beyond the mundane... Today is shaping up to be another eventful one. After a lovely morning seeing my wonderful partner, we sensed the powers of one of the Minions of Fallen Light. These Demonic followers of the false Dark Lord are infiltrating our college campus. They attempt to silence us for daring to claim our rightful title of "Prince of Darkness".

We had no problems with the lord of the fallen, Lucifer, until he claimed our true title. Now it seems he wishes to send minions after us as well. We will keep our eyes peeled, and await the next battle. From the Fallen, to creatures of the Light, all will once again bow to the will of the Lord of the Darkness!

As a note, we do not despise any of the demons or creatures of light here. We just merely ask of the Fallen and demons that your boss cease claiming our title, hehe
