Valorant : State of Agents - May 2021

Valorant released an article on the state of agents as of May 2021. Valorant fans(which includes us of course) were expecting a new agent along the new map “Breeze”. But we were bummed out to find out that we had to wait a little longer. Valorant, on May 28th commented on the experiments that were going on with a few agents like Viper for instance. Viper : Image by Valorant Fans made it pretty obvious that the buff on Viper was too much and that Viper had become more oppressive. But the pick rate of Viper increased greatly after the buff. Riot on the other hand, nerfed viper a little to balance out her destructiveness in the previous patch. In the recent State of Agents article, Riot said, “We’re noticing that Viper’s niche is more distinctly carved out across all skill bands. Now that we’re seeing her play-rate increase, we’ll monitor to see if she’s still too oppressive post-nerf, as both sides are playing against her utility. “ Future Balance : Image by Valorant Breach, Skye, Astra and Yoru are said to receive updates in the upcoming patches. - As for Breach and Skye, Riot is thinking of a way to remove their ability to dish out 3 consecutive flashes. (This is something I, personally, am looking forward to. It was much needed.) - Yoru’s “Fakeout” ability will be made impactful. - Some of Astra’s abilities are more oppressive which would be balanced out with counter-play. New Agent: Fans were expecting a new agent to show up with the start of the new map “Breeze”. But, Riot said that they were prioritizing quality over speed. In the new State of Agents article, Riot announced that the new agent would be released with patch 3.0 with Episode 3.The article said, “This time around we are throwing in some abilities that should feel familiar to folks who’ve played traditional FPS games their whole lives, but with added elements that will make those recognizable abilities unique within our roster. This is an Agent who’s utility can create moments where you must rely on your gunplay.” So, what do you guys think about the New Agent. I personally think that the new Agent would have some kind of an ability which would deactivate everyone else’s abilities. This way, they would rely more on raw gunplay. Apple’s WWDC 2021 : What to expect

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is about a week away from now. The event will kick off on Monday, June 7th and will go on till June 11th. Apple’s tagline for WWDC 2021 is “And away we code” which reminds us yet another time, that this is indeed a developers conference. The event will be virtual this year and we expect a lot of exciting things from Apple. Image by Apple WWDC 2021 will start off with the keynote at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET/ 10:30 p.m. IST. It will stream from the infamous “Apple park”. It will be a pre-recorded event with a high production budget as usual which we all expect from Apple at this point. The event will be available for users to watch via Apple’s website, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app and YouTube. Here’s what to expect from WWDC 2021. IOS 15 : Image by Apple As usual, IOS 15 will probably be the biggest focus for the event this year. Unlike last year, Apple has done a pretty good job of keeping the IOS 15 leaks in check. But there are some rumors going around regarding IOS 15. Obviously, IOS 15 will be a revamped version of its predecessor with a bunch of new features included. Food tracking and enhanced notifications are rumored. Apple is also said to be working on changes to iMessage. This generation of IOS is also said to be more focused on Privacy. IPadOS 15 : Image by Apple The New iPads with the M1 chips are really good but the iPad OS seems to be holding the device back in a lot of ways. IOS 15 is expected to give a complete overhaul to the iPad Home screen. The new update is also rumored to allow users to place widgets anywhere on the Home screen. All other OS : Image by Apple We expect macOS, tvOS and watchOS to get some updates as well. watchOS 8, macOS 12 and tvOS 15 are supposed to be introduced this year. There's not much known about the updates on these OS. Hardware : Hardware’s are less likely to be unveiled at the WWDC, since it's more about softwares. USB-C gets a power upgrade to up to 240W

The USB has been one of the most important and useful ports to plugin a lot of devices. It also began powering up smartphones in the smartphone era. This told us that, not only was it able to transfer data, it could also deliver power. It is a sort of revolution in the technology field. But, compared to its potential, the performance of the USB-C has been limited because of various reasons.

But an upgrade to the USB-C was announced by the USB Implements Forum (USB-IF) through CNET which said that the maximum power output to the USB-C will be more than doubled. It will accommodate a power level of up to 250 Watts, the developers revealed for its version 2.1 upgrade. The new 240-watt option is called Extended Power Range, or EPR. The 240 Watt capacity is more than enough to charge most notebook laptops and some gaming laptops. It can even run larger monitors, printers and much more.
