WHAT THE HELL DID HE KNOW ? the only thing holding her tongue is the fact that she knows he’s not saying that out of pure stupidity , he got the whole story wrong , it’s partially her responsibility to tell him the truth before she can judge his words properly . “ jackson was nothing but nice to me , hardin , i was the one that decided to split up . ” some part of her is still feeling bad for the way she couldn’t match jackson’s feelings and god knows she tried .

dark eyes as if glued to her notebook , maeve doesn’t notice the new kid sitting next to her , something far more important had all of her attention -- the fact that the kids of moordale secondary were now stuck in sex education classes all thanks to her and otis’ little consulting business . maeve can’t help but roll her eyes as the teacher writes the subject of that morning’s class with chalk against the board , as if nearly everyone in that room needed any explaining . they all probably had more experience at their age now than that old bag could compile together in all of her years of misery and loneliness .
she hears a sigh coming from someone sitting next to her , the need to link that mutual feeling with a face is quickly satisfied . “ stupid new thing the school came up with -- new kid , right ? ”
