He couldnât say that laughter usually meant less killing happening, but hey, he was stuck in an inescapable room with a fucking assassin - let him be optimistic for once.Â
The way Haze stretched himself out made him snort and raise a brow. âBit full of yourself, ainât ya? What makes ya think Iâd go for some threateninâ guy like you, anyways?â Best not to mention that threats to his life and well being could turn him on a bit at times. Not exactly something you led with, even if itâd be hilarious to see how some of the more awkward members of his timeline tried to get around that in conversation.Â

âWhat the fuck-â Pyre was doing a pretty good job of not freaking the fuck out, in his humble opinion. Ending up in a room with no windows or doors and some random skeleton who didnât look all that friendly, really wasnât his idea of a good time. His first instinct was to teleport away - only to grimace in pain when his magic was roughly suppressed. Not an unfamiliar feeling, and boy did that bring up some lovely memories, thanks for that. Â

He flinched away from the touch, eye sockets narrowing as he instinctively tried to shape his magic so he could be ready to attack - only to huff faintly at the words and look that followed. He couldnât say he was exactly comfortable with some stranger giving him that much attention, but at least it was passing the time in a way that didnât result in him being dusted. Always a plus.Â
Pyre smirked faintly, letting his gaze drag over the taller skeleton in return. Not bad at all, really. âHopinâ those two donât usually go hand in hand, yeah?â He grinned. âReal mood killer.âÂ

Yeah, he was sure an assassin was one of the most stand up guys around. No dubious motivations at all, nope. He eyed the other skeleton for a moment, briefly incredulous at how heâd even ended up in a room with a guy like this in the first place. He almost missed the violent yet straight forward type the made up most of his own timeline.Â
âHands on, huh?â The wink and teeth-licking didnât leave much room for misunderstanding. Pyre snorted, raising a brow at Haze. âThose hands of yours actually any good, or are ya all talk?â

His eyes were full of mirth and mischief as Pyre covered his mouth and his yellow tongue sneaked out to slide against his fingers. âIf youâre not fucking your way across it youâre not doing it right. Itâs so much easier to learn everything you need when someoneâs so willing to talk.â
Leaning forward he gave a devilish smirk. âNot embarrassed huh? Youâre acting pretty embarrassed right now. Itâs a shame you havenât been able to explore your kinks, it really is. I could give you aâŠcrash course if youâd like.~â
He quickly pulled back his hand the moment he felt the otherâs tongue against his fingers, face scrunching into a mildly disgusted yet amused expression. Well, that wasnât childish at all.Â
Still, he couldnât help but lean away from Haze a little, even if his range of movement was limited by being sat on the floor, looking dubious and faintly wary. âA crash course, huh? And whatâs in it for you for beinâ so generous?âÂ

He raised a brow, part of him wondering how the fuck theyâd gotten onto this topic of conversation, the rest of him simply relieved that he hadnât got caught up in a fight whilst being unable to use his magic properly. His timeline had definitely hammered into him that being vulnerable was a bad idea, so he only let it happen rarely.Â
His pupils shifted to Hazeâs teeth at the movement, idly wondering what the appeal of biting was. None of the guys heâd been with had done it to him or vice versa - it would likely be seen as an attack, and they hadnât exactly chatted about what they were cool with before getting down to fucking.Â
A scowl crossed his features as the other skeleton kept listing things off, and he pressed a hand over his mouth to shut him up. âI ainât embarrassed! Explorinâ kinks just ainât somethinâ ya have much time for in a place where almost everyone wants ya dead, yeah? And Iâve been more set on acclimatisinâ ta there beinâ a multiverse than fuckinâ my way across it.â

Pyre shifted a little under the lingering gaze. It wasnât like he was innocent or anything, but attention was generally a bad thing where he came from. He was still having a hard time accepting that Haze wasnât going to jump him for the sake of getting stronger.Â
He made a vaguely disgusted face at the thought of asking to be puked on. âFuck no, I ainât into that. I ainât exactly vanilla but that just sounds fuckinâ gross.â He raised a brow at Haze. âWhat about you, huh? What sorta stuff gets you all fired up?â Yes, heâd pretty much just avoided the question and he wasnât actually sure he wanted to know what this guyâs kinks were, but fuck it.Â

He snorted when Haze agreed with his masochist assessment, though he felt a little wary at all the questions. With a faint sigh he rationalised that the guy wasnât asking so he could use it against him - he probably just wanted to avoid the boredom of being stuck in an almost empty room. Pyre couldnât blame him for that.Â
âMy name? Yeah, it was originally Sans. Still go by it in my own timeline.â He shrugged. âOnce I realised there were other Sanses out there and interacted with a few of âem, seemed a good idea ta pick a name for myself. Dunno how âm any different from the others. The name was pretty much in the heat of the moment-â He smirked faintly â-and seemed fittinâ, since ta humans âm a walkinâ, talkinâ corpse.
âAs for whether âm a masochist...Eh, depends on the context. No fun in gettinâ hurt durinâ a fight, least not ta me, but it sure can feel a hell of a lot different in other scenarios.âÂ

He eyed the numerous scars on Hazeâs arm. Scars were definitely something he was used to seeing, but self-inflicted ones were a little less common. âYou a masochist or somethinâ?â he muttered, more sarcastic than actually curious.Â
Pyre sat with his knees pulled up to his chest and one arm loosely wrapped around them, body angled slightly towards Haze so that he could see him fully. It was less about his trust in Hazeâs word, and more simple habit - heâd long since learnt that the only place he could really let his guard down was in his home. âTell ya about myself?â He smirked. âReally digginâ the bottom of the barrel on things ta do, huh? ...Guessinâ ya know about the multiverse bullshit since ya mentioned other underfells. So yeah, âm one of âem.â He shrugged lightly. ââm on the Royal Guard, mostly sentry duty. Borinâ as fuck for the most part but at least âm not expected ta do much.â

He silently mouthed âsweetieâ to himself, not even bothering to hide his confusion anymore, whilst the thought of anyone in an underfell verse not killing was...a really weird one. It was pretty much a fact of life for him, but he guessed that showed how much things could vary even between the same âtypesâ of universe.Â
Pyre eyed the other skeleton for a long moment, before sighing and sitting down beside him. Fuck it, they were stuck in a small room so it wasnât like he could run very far if he did need to escape Haze. It was a little demeaning to be used as entertainment - but he supposed Haze was returning the honour of being Pyreâs relief from boredom, anyway.Â
He shook his head at the offer. ââm good. And I know thatâd hurt like hell, but it wouldnât exactly be easy for me ta reach. Better off havinâ my hands free and beinâ able ta break your arm or somethinâ.â He raised a brow at Haze. âPlus, eye sockets ainât super sensitive anyway, just unpleasant ta stick stuff in. At least, thatâs the case with mine..âÂ

The laughter startled him slightly, though he guessed it was a good thing that Haze wasnât getting angry. Plenty of monsters could be touchy as fuck, and he wasnât keen on pissing off someone who seemed pretty strong when he didnât have access to his magic. Not that he was going to suck up to the guy.Â
Having back some personal space made him feel at least a little better, and he raised a brow at the way Haze was putting himself in a more vulnerable position. Confident, or just reckless? He snorted. ââcourse Iâve killed someone. You already seem ta know what kind of place âm from - killinâ is pretty normal there. âm guessinâ youâve killed plenty, too.â
Was this really what whoever had kidnapped them wanted? For them to...chat? Fucking weirdo.Â

Gradually, he started to get his bearings again. Haze...wasnât trying to kill him. He was just being a dick. A flirty, winking one. Though he didnât relax, Pyre stopped his attempts to shape his magic into something to attack with.Â
ââscuse me if I donât believe the words of a random stranger who just told me he kills people for a livinâ.â He huffed, jerking his chin out of Hazeâs grip. âAnd I wonât attack you if you donât attack me. Please, forgive me for gettinâ antsy about an unknown threat gettinâ so close ta me,â he added sarcastically.Â

He smirked, expression smug. âIâm not fighting, am I? Trust me buddy if I wanted you dead or hurt Iâd have done it already. I donât have a reason to fight you, so I wont. JustâŠdonât give me a reason and weâll be fine.âÂ
Yeah, why not, lets see how far he could push this. He slowly raised a hand up and grabbed Pyreâs chin gently, applying slight pressure to try and turn his head to the side a little. âGotta admit,  youâre one of the better looking underfell skeletonâs Iâve seen. Pretty hot, there Pyre.â He winked and chuckled again, curious about his reaction.
His brows furrowed in confusion. If Haze wasnât trying to start a fight, or intimidate him or some shit, then why the fuck was he getting so close-Â
Pyre tensed up even further when the other raised his hand, automatically reaching for his magic only to hit the restraints that stopped him from gathering enough for a teleport or attack. His magic was still there, he just couldnât use it in any useful way and now this fucker was going to-
...turn his face? Pure bewilderment kept him from reacting for several long moments, until- âWhat the fuck?âÂ

He glared up at the taller skeleton, letting the cigarette drop so heâd have both hands free. If this guy really was an assassin then he probably had Pyre beat when he didnât have access to his magic, but he sure as hell would put up a good fight at least.Â
He growled lowly, much preferring anger to the nervousness he tried to hide. ââm tense âcause I donât like how close youâre gettinâ, so back off. Thought we already agreed we werenât gonna turn this into a fight?âÂ

The description made him frown a little even as he nodded. He hadnât quite adjusted to the idea that there were various versions of both him and his brother out there. Fuck, itâd be freaky to meet one of his brother, especially if he acted completely different.Â
When Haze laughed he raised his brows, wondering what was so funny, before freezing when what he said registered. Unconsciously he pressed back into the wall behind him as if he could sink right into it, and as grateful as he was for the space between them heâd like a little more right now.Â
A strangled chuckled left him as his gaze darted to the side and back to Haze. âUh, that sure sounds...fun.â Thank fuck no one in his timeline but Gaster knew about the multiverse, so he didnât have to worry about anyone hiring assassins to kill him off.Â

His brows raised at the snarl but Haze didnât look intimidated in the slightest, probably because he wasnât. âProtective. You the older brother then? And relax Iâm not asking because Iâm looking for him or something, Iâm just making conversation.â
He smirked at Pyreâs snort. âActually, itâs one of the most interesting things to study. The way people react around strangers who look or act a certain way can give great insight into each participants mind and personality. Observing reactions is a main part of my job, if not the core of it itself.â
He shrugged and leaned back against the wall. âYeah, âm the older one. Wouldnât think it though if ya looked at the two of us, though.â Heâd always been a little envious of how much taller than him Papyrus ended up. Hell, he had to look up a good bit for most people, including the skeleton in front of him.Â
He gave Haze a curious look, not quite relaxed but at least a little less ready to attack at a moments notice. âWhat job would that be? âm guessinâ it involves beinâ around people a lot?â
