I feel like Americans do not get how seriously Canada is taking this. Trump’s comments are not jokes to us, like at all. We’re more united as a country than we have been in years, and it’s against America. We’re boycotting American goods en masse. Many of us, myself included, have cancelled trips to America. Many Canadians anticipate a possible INVASION. Do you know how insane that is considering our history of allyship???

We LOATHE your president and are affected by his tomfoolery, but unlike you, we don’t have state reps to call!!!!!! We have no voice!!!!! When you vote today, remember what Doug Ford has done to Ontario.

He handed over Greenbelt land to wealthy developers, and his own ministers resigned in response. He removed free tuition for low-income students and the six-month interest-free period on student loans. Rent was already out of control, and he decided to remove rent control on new buildings, letting landlords charge whatever they want.

Our healthcare has crumbled under his leadership and it’s completely by design. ER wait times are up, staffing shortages are brutal, and instead of fixing it, he’s pushing privatization and pretending that it is the fault of socialized healthcare rather than his deliberate funding cuts and disappearing funds provided to the province by the federal government.

He also cut education funding, made class sizes bigger, and brought the sex-ed curriculum back to 1988. He tried to use the notwithstanding clause to take away the teacher’s right to strike when they rightfully resisted these changes.

And let’s not forget Ontario Place and the Science Centre—he’s spending hundreds of millions of tax dollars to build a private luxury spa instead of investing in what actually helps us. If we even see the return of the science centre he plans to place it in a smaller location on the Ontario Place property, reducing access to regular people.

Provincial elections matter. They decide the cost of rent, the quality of our healthcare, the state of our schools, and the future of our environment. If you want affordable rent, strong public services, and a livable future for your kids and grandkids, you need to vote.

Ontario deserves better. PLEASE don’t sit this one out.

Ontarians with the conservatives once again winning it is time to email or call your reps I'm gonna see if I can get a hold of both municipal, provincial and the premier maybe tomorrow. And I am going to broach the subjects of education,economy, housing including housing the homeless, UBI, healthcare and maybe some other things because if they want to run the government I am going to make them listen.

Question tho, would this have any actual tangible consequences for him? Other than making it clear to him that the Canadian people don't want him here. Like he's still got a US citizenship and he can still use that to come to Canada, albeit for shorter durations.
