It's that time again! What's your favorite game you played this year?

Happy new year! I'm a little late but better than never. As ever let's start with some honorable mentions!

I don't want to pick a repeat game but TTT continues to be a wonderful part of my life and friendships and I am very thankful for it.

I started playing, or at least got seriously into, Lethal Company early in the year. I never quite got around to grinding for high scores like I wanted to, but the few month period where I'd hang out in the chat of streamers actually doing so was a ton of fun. Huge highlight of the year. Content Warning was a surprising hit as well but was much more social-focused than score-focused.

I've never been much into roguelikes but this year I sunk a good chunk of time into Splatoon 3: Side Order and Balatro. I don't expect I'll ever complete Balatro (I'm here for the yuri though), but I'm still looking forward to streaming Side Order's final palette with no hacks one day!

I played American Arcadia this year and absolutely loved it, a great take on an interactive sort-of Truman Show. Not much more to say it's just great.

Finally, this isn't really a "game" and it's not even anything explicitly special, but. My little SM64 mod 30 STAR SPRINT is one of my proudest creations this year, both in that I think it was an awesome idea, and that it produced some amazing content (look forward to the highlights video this year!). It's hugely representative of what I want my streams and videos to actually look like and I'm super excited to focus in on that this coming year!
