Gorgeous illustrations, but I really just wasn't feeling the writing. I guess I thought it would be more about uncovering queer texts that were lost or mistranslated. Instead, it was a collection of ancient queer stories that have been floating around queer circles forever. Se谩n Hewitt's previous work, his memoir All Down Darkness Wide, was phenomenal, so I was hoping for a bit more.

There are really only a few Ben Folds (Five) songs that I like, but I was drawn to this book because of Folds' recent exit from the Kennedy Center, where he served in an advisory position, after T*ump's takeover. Pretty good stuff. 4/5.
