As I was going through the Far Cry 4 oasisstrings file, I realized there were several versions of Ishwari’s letter to Ajay. I could be wrong, but I don’t think they all appear in the game.

I’m especially curious about the last one, and the subtle changes between the second and the third one (such as the use of “we” instead of “I”) are also quite interesting!

thinking about how in beta the peggies weren't going to be hostile constantly. even if it was only in certain places or for like the first level of resistance, I think that would have been so interesting especially because there's so much dialogue they have idling in outposts and other areas that you don't really get to hear on account of them shooting you on sight

Hi! Sorry for the late reply😭 I had never thought about their marriage before, so it took me a while to respond...

I guess Joseph and John could at least get her a dress. Jacob... well, I think he'll see no need for all the formalities, he's a practical man, sort of.

And my dep.. If she has to marry them... She usually stays as quiet as possible when she's kidnapped for the safety of her friends, but in this case, she might consider running away😅

I know that the hales being werewolves was like, super duper extra secret, but honestly i think it wouldve been funnier (and a lot more sad) if werewolves/the supernatural were like, the worst kept secret of the town.

Some of y'all saw the mascara drips on Joey's face and decided to make that her whole personality and it shows.

She's not even wearing makeup in the opening cutscene - not enough to run rivers, that's for sure. It was likely just a creative decision by the devs to make her look helpless so the player would want to save her.

And y'all took that and ran with it. Totally forgetting that she was fighting the entire time. That she broke out of her "room" on her own, killed at least three peggies, and had the idea to free the other hostages. She was going to free them with or without the player's help. "Help me, or stay out of my way."

She wasn't broken by torture or drugs like Staci and Burke. Even though she thought for sure that she was going to die, she never stopped fighting.

John had to use his number of followers, an underground bunker, and physical restraints to have any hope of hurting her, and he still failed to get her to join the cult.

You're being reductive to her and for what? So you can explore how sadistic and creepy John is?

You can do character studies of John while still giving her a modicum of respect.

If you're going to explore what he did to her, why not take Joey's personality and fighting nature into account? She fought against him tooth and nail. It wasn't easy for her. She suffered a lot - we've all heard and seen it - but she's not some spineless crybaby.

She doesn't need to be turned into one just to show how severely fucked up and evil John's actions were.
