The story behind him is a pretty long and convoluted one...but basically hes Ganondorf combined with Link

Idk how else to explain him without getting into a long rant about how we created him in the first place XD

My first time attempting photorealism, and my first time using oil paint!! Honestly, I'm surprised it turned out this good

Although if I had more time before it was due, theres still a few things I'd like to fix, but it looks fine as it is so I'm going to leave it how it is

I never really draw creepy stuff, so I thought I’d try my hand at it today! So here you go ;)

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on this blog, but I’m a maladaptive daydreamer. A lot of my OCs are from my dream world. This is one of them. His name is Jinx, and he’s...kind of a psychopath...

He loves chaos and hates boredom, if he gets bored he makes his own fun, usually at the expense of others. He’s also a masochist so that’s fun...

Anyway, if you’re wondering why he’s shirtless, it’s cuz I couldn’t figure out a good outfit for him. He wouldn’t really cooperate with me on that, either. But he still looks good so I’m just sticking with it as it is

Also, I haven’t done semi-realism in a loooong time, so I’m surprised it turned out his well. Tbh I just BSed the whole thing where shading is concerned but who cares

Some Jinx doodles that made my disaster child win the hearts of everyone on the Discord chat!!

The draw-the-squad meme might have been the first picture I showed them, actually

The little mini comic about profile pictures was in response to one of the people on discord, with a Link profile picture, saying that they love Jinx

The one where Jinx is hugging me saying "I have followers! :3" was in response to everyone on the chat telling me how much they love him

(Frankly I was surprised how easily they all warmed up to him lol, I'm glad yall like him as much as I do XD)

Second: Jinx hugging his BFF Zephyr (or you could call him Link, in my dream world his name is Link, I just made everything confusing by deciding to name him Zephyr because at the time I thought making my own Link who happens to be an angel would put me in danger of getting copyrighted. Idk why I thought that...)

Third: a tea party thrown in Jinx's behalf in response to all the angst I put him through. Includes @aceofspadeswiththedragoneggs @snail-in-sneakers @foooxobsessedperson @a-wild-gel-appears and @castletownranger

Fourth: Jinx in a koala onesie, because the Jinx Protection Squad officially decided Jinx is a koala (also the reason for my current koala profile picture, in case you were wondering XD)

SPOILER WARNING

I mean everyone who's currently following me already knows these spoilers but whatever...

First two are my first design for Damien and his little sister, Averia. I'm keeping Averia's design for now but I changed Damien's hairstyle a bit, my current design is the third, colored image. The fourth thing is a mood board I attempted for Jinx lol

Jinx lifted Link up in his arms bridal style, beginning to walk away from the battlefield.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! PUT ME DOWN!!" Link began to struggle in his grasp, trying to get back on their own two feet.

"Relax, little hero, I'm just taking you somewhere safe," Jinx reassured, maintaining his hold on Link.

"But my friends are back there!!" Link protested. "They need my help!!"

Jinx shook his head. "If you went back, you wouldn't just get hurt...you would be killed. Hyrule can't be saved by a dead hero."

"How am I supposed to save Hyrule if you take me away from the danger that threatens it?!"

"Link, I'm just trying to protect you. This is for your good, and for the good of Hyrule. Please stop fighting me-"

"For my own good?!" Link interrupted. "That's a lie! You're doing this for YOUR own good!!"

Jinx was expecting them to say that, but he didn't expect that it would hurt so much. In his surprise, Link managed to worm their way out of his grasp, landing on the ground. They immediately got to their feet, positioned to make a bolt back to the battlefield.

Jinx couldn't stand to let Link, his only friend, get hurt. But if they weren't going to cooperate and accept his help, Jinx would have to be more forceful. Jinx swallowed the lump in his throat, before shooting his hand toward the hero, landing a solid hit to the back of their neck, knocking them out instantly.

As Link slumped to the ground, unconscious, Jinx could feel his guilt creeping up his back, making the hair at the back of his neck stand on end. He never wanted to fight against Link. But he had to, he kept repeating to himself. He was doing this to protect them.

Jinx picked up the unconscious Hylian as gently as he could, and continued on his original path away from the battlefield. He knew of only one place where Link would be perfectly safe...but there was no way he could abandon them in such a desolate wasteland. Taking them outside Hyrule and finding a peaceful village for them to stay in would have to do for now. 

Link would be upset when they woke up. Livid, even. But Jinx would just have to bite that bullet. He would rather have his only friend be angry at him than have them dead.

Some random doodles I've done of Jinx lately that I keep posting on Discord but forgetting to post here...

First one is a draw the squad meme, they're watching Twilight and only Jinx is unironically enjoying it (he doesnt know the stigma for the movie and hasnt watched enough good movies to know the difference) also, the reason Lyra is crying is because of how bad it is, not because shes getting emotional over it

Second is chibi Jinx, cuz I dont draw chibis enough anymore lol

The third one is DJ the skull kid (who belongs to @themisadventurescrew ) talking Jinx into doing something bad for the Bad End AU

Fourth is Jinx in a dress and also a cowboy hat, cuz why not XD

5th and 6th are DJ and Jinx as Team Rocket, cuz let's be honest, under regular circumstances that would TOTALLY be their relationship XD

7th is a drawing on a napkin that I did during an airplane flight

8th was actually part of a series if drawings based on a silly christmas cat video, but this was the drawing I liked the most
