It's me again after thinking about it I think Starlita could work as a kind of rival thing midwar they have some traits that could clash, and they are both second in commands, I feel like I can kind of see them becoming rivals, petty rivalry really more on his side than hers. It's like a he fell first but she's the one who eventually would end up actually hitting because he's not gonna do it.

If that train scene from the storyboards was kept and if he decided to stay with them I stead of with Megatron I can see them arguing a lot about strategies and just not getting along in particular up until reaching a common ground, I think he'd find her tenacity a bit endearing after a while since she's not exactly trying to demean him or anything just knocking some sense, think that one scene in IDW where he gets impressed with Windblade's ruthlessness I think he'd be into Elita if she has something similar, and would find her tolerable than the others.

Totally not me getting inspired by that one scene he just rudely bumps past her while chanting Megatron's name lol, that made me ship them then I saw your art
