He turned out amazing. Gluevah continues to impress me with her creative ability to turn standard bears into something truly unique and super special. She takes extra care to match her ideas on executing the project with the client's ideas on designing characters, so the end result is as exact to the reference as possible, not to mention adorable.

This was my second commission from Gluevah and I truly couldn't be more thrilled with her work! I will definitely be back for a third in the future. Thank you so much!!! 🥰

Finished commission for @raccfox :D Turned a Great Wolf Lodge wolf Build-A-Bear into their fox character, Michi! I loved doing the ears, trimming and shaping the fur was so fun! I was covered in fur though, I had to change clothes after finishing up the ears. I also love the tail. It's so big the plush stands on his own!

Just going to say it here and now... if the BAB alien bear doesn't end up coming out by the end of this month, I'm going to be intensely disappointed. There's never been a BAB I've wanted more... im a massive alien nerd and plushie collector, and there is SUCH a scarcity of good quality grey alien/little green men cuddle toys. I refreshed the page for 6 hours straight, every 30 minutes, today, waiting to get my little guy, and now it's just an ambiguous "it'll get released later"... I'm majorly bummed out and worried that it won't come out at all now. I get that there are supply chain issues. I totally understand. I don't mind waiting, either, just like... please, let it actually get released and in a decent quantity so everyone who waited for it like me can get one... I don't usually stress over collectibles but I just KNOW if it doesn't get released, I'm never going to forget about it. It'll haunt me to think of The Bear That Never Was... fingers crossed so hard that it doesn't happen, but yall know me. I'm a worrier.

Soooo cuuuute!!! I'm so happy with how he turned out!

@raccfox commissioned me to turn a snowball sloth into an anteater, and it's probably my favorite custom I've done!

I made an elongated snoot, after adjusting the pattern a few times to fix the shape and make sure it fit the face properly. I even salvaged his original safety nose and sewed it into the snout! I am so pleased with that detail in particular omg >w<

I also made him a nice fluffy tail, from this faux fur that turned out to be a perfect match! I cut the fabric so that the fur pile faces down, just like a real anteater!

He'll soon be off to his new home :D

it’s a drawing I did of Blu ( who belongs to @gluevah ) and my Sundae (a custom that she did for me, with the base of a Snow Day Sloth BAB, to turn it into an anteater). Blu is getting Sundae ready to come home!! Drawing plushies is so relaxing and fun! This helped me feel better after being stressed out and anxious most of the day.

giving : the backstory of why I try to be generous.

I wanted to explain why I gave away an expensive bear to my new acquaintance. I know I’m pretty new on this tumblr and it seems like it could be a fishy situation, not to mention as a collector I can understand it might seem a little weird to give up something rare like that. I promise there are no ulterior motives or questionable things going on, and there is a reason why I occasionally give bears and other collectibles to people when I know they’re going to appreciate them. Feel free to read the story below if you want the background. --- When I was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s I had a very dearly beloved plush Figment from Epcot. He was one of my first stuffed animals, and from the first trip I ever went on to Florida. I didn’t have him long, but I remember the moment I realized he had disappeared... My dear Figment plushie was lost or stolen, and there was absolutely no way to get him back. Nobody knew exactly what happened, he was just gone, and there was no way for me to get another one because there was no Ebay. I was a child, and my parents couldn’t contact anyone in Florida if they even wanted to, let alone even afford to pay someone to go to Disneyworld and buy one. I grew up in a fairly low income home, we only went on vacation a couple times for my entire childhood. Disneyworld was not going to happen again for many years and we all knew it! I was distraught about this plushie for years, wondering what happened to my Figment all the way into adulthood. I retold the story countless times, and I wrote about it on Livejournal, which is where I kinda got my “Sea Legs” for internet collecting spaces. To my surprise, someone who was basically just a passerby on one of my posts - a plushie collector who i was only vaguely acquainted with, who owed me absolutely no time, energy, or item - happened to have the exact rare Figment plushie in his collection. He sent me a picture of it and asked if it was the one, and I was thrilled to have found the right one, thinking I’d finally be able to go find one on my own at some point. You can probably guess what comes next in this story -- without missing a beat, this nice person offered to just... send him to me. Free. No strings attached. He was clean, in good condition despite being from years ago, and worth decent money... this guy could have made a quick buck on the plush if he desired to! But he was just giving him to me. I was just... absolutely floored that someone from the internet would be so kind. I was so happy and thankful. and I remember how happy it made the other collector, too... it was just positivity all around. That’s why I gave the Snow Monster Bear away. I just want to “pay it forward” and I want to help others feel happy in the little ways that I am capable of. ❤️

drew my new plushie friends! their names are Lentil and Bean. for those who didn’t know, axolotls dropped again FINALLY at build-a-bear. I’ve been waiting for months, since I missed the first release! super happy to finally be able to add these little fellas to my collection. I have always liked axolotls and salamanders and such, and it’s so weird and cool that they made these dudes!
