Trying to learn how to write Ulysses’s dialogue… his speech patterns are crazy interesting!! I think he speaks like someone who reads and thinks a lot but doesn’t talk to others often. I like to imagine he’s spent vasts amount of time by himself, not speaking at all for days. But, he thinks constantly. He can’t stop thinking. Idk where but I saw a comment somewhere saying the show wasnt originally set in CA/NV which like…idk if it’s true but god I wish they stayed away from the west coast, it feels like it’s only set there for fan service.

If they did want it somewhere already established to mix in canon content so it isn’t completely isolated from the games they could’ve done it in so many better ways then completely retconning and basically demolishing any roleplaying with fnv by establishing canon.

Like an anthology type tv series about Boston that’s 10-20 years before fo4 starts would’ve been 10x better. Establishing more backstories for the companions, giving the minutemen the lore they deserved, showing maxons becoming the leader of the BOS, ect.

Or alternatively, a series set in Appalachia to explore fo76 setting in 2280s, because it has a beautiful setting and great narrative potential but the mmo elements in the game ruin half of its writing.

Does anyone know some effective solution on how to filter the Gaza scams in inbox? (Outside of locking it, ofc) I'm honestly getting sick of it, both from the fact that I keep being blasted with notifications and have to manually report all the senders, and from the fact that someone's actually using people's misfortune to milk money. I've seen some accounts before that were not aware it was a bot, and I felt genuienly sorry for them they were promoting these and actually sending them money 😭 seriously, some people are gross

i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.

so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
