This is Sable, another romance option for the game! The hair took me the longest. I just couldn't get happy with it. But I really like how she came out. <3

Decided to take a break from environment stuff and make a character. This is Aldric. He's one of my intended romance options, should this visual novel ever go under way.

It was really hard not to just switch over to vector art, but I do think I can work with this. I may eventually just switch over to vector art for the lines. Does anyone think this kinda style would work fine for a visual novel? I'm trying to keep it cohesive with the art but I am pretty sure most visual novels I see use vector characters.

This bad boi has gone through a couple different versions until I found myself content with it. I feel like I'm learning a lot every new scene I make. I am not fully in love with the style yet, but I think the more I go on, the more comfortable I'll be experimenting with lines (which should help the style??).

I didn't originally plan to have a bunch of climbing plants on these stone walls. Please don't roast me for the walls. They were supposed to be buildings on the same street but I merged all my layers on the town hall itself before I realized the doors were way too small in comparison to the stores I painted beside it (real life tears).

I will learn from this but the deed is done.

I've been playing around with style, trying to find stuff I really like, and I think that I like the lines on top of the objects as opposed to without. And I definitely like things that look not quite right, a little quirky in their design. Hopefully as I practice I can pick up the how-to on making it look that real quirky style.

It's not perfect, and I see things I would like to change, but I'm figuring out techniques that I want to apply to my future art pieces. Maybe one day I will come back to this bad boi and give it a second go. Until then, this is where it's at.
