Jax being deeply suspicious of ragatha bc the way he looks at it nothing good could ever come out of trying to be nice to everyone all the time so surely this must be her plotting something behind everyones back and it puts him on edge that he can't exactly say WHAT she's plotting and so that's why he has the need to one up her when the opportunity arises. They can't hurt you if you put them down first. But that's just it isn't it, outside the need to appear nice all the time, just what does ragatha have underneath that? I don't think she knows the answer anymore either.

theres kind of an interesting point to be made if you compare ragatha and gangle in how they deal w their 'masks'. Wherein w gangle its a bit more literal and she's aware that she, along w almost everyone else, didn't really like who she was during ep 4, and her kinda internalizing the comments about how in general people didn't like her being happy in any circumstance, which is an understandable assumption (😔) however wrong.

and w ragatha, you got like, someone who might not even realize they're putting up a mask as a trauma response. Asking if it's weird that she hates jax but doesn't want him to hate her. trying and failing to have closer bonds and not understanding why its just not working, failing to see just how disingenuous she's actually being when shes only doing what's been ingrained to her her whole life; a people pleaser at heart

I'm not gunning (pun intended) for a ragatha crash out as much as just a moment where she's given an emotional catharsis and space to breathe, however the image of her shooting jax and doing it over and over to prevent him from getting up is giving me a level of vindictive that's KINDA funny to hope for

I think it'd be funny if jax n pomni doing all that holding hands and spinning around thing was ragatha imagining them having fun together. I am a losergatha believer

idk what this MEANS for ragatha but it IS something I've been keeping in mind whenever I read discussions on how her character is being treated. other than the more obvious thing being that her and that rabbit are the same ass character just on opposite sides of the spectrum. I don't even know myself what I'd want to happen to this ragdoll (besides getting therapy) but I trust that goose, being the person responsible for creating her, knows what she's doing

tadc is so character driven as God has said that sometimes I forget there's still very much a plot trying to happen in the bg. Though I'm not sure if they're trying to go for 'everyone eventually escapes from the circus', I am wondering what they're setting up that fuckass mannequin for

Final bets: Does Ragatha kick the bucket in this episode? Because I feel like this is her last chance to beat the death flag allegations.

i feel very strongly about this but she is NOT gonna DIEEEEE. if there is one thing this woman is good at its getting back up again and trying over and over!!!!! EVEN IF HER ATTEMPTS ARE DOGWATER SHE WILL TRY ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! this is another Tuesday for her and IT WONT BE HER LAST.

i wonder if we're gonna get any backstory (alluded to or not) w ragatha and kinger. I like to think they go way back, as in, ragatha knew about kinger's wife and before kinger became... that. Mostly bc I like them having that bit of history w each other, them being close once w that kinda falling apart when Queenie abstracted. And also for the idea of mourning for someone who's still right there beside you

coupled w the assumption that Ragatha doesn't seem like she's aware(?) that kinger gains a bit of himself back in the darkness and has slowly kind of withdrawn herself from him, I think there's a bit of hurt in knowing that pomni, somehow and someway, managed to extract that information from him. Like that one unique bond she thought she had w him just severed like that.

(deep diving into self indulgent hc territory here) another part in me kind of wishes for that father daughter dynamic that kinger radiates So Much. him being protective of ragatha to the point of locking in is tasty, ragatha forcing herself to lock in for his efforts is also tasty. i want them... to talk about the before more ☹️. just let that ragdoll have a decent and genuine interaction w someone for once please ...

on one hand, pomni IS a grown ass adult and she IS able to make her own decisions, on the other, I feel like some people are squashing her potential to be. I dunno, a person? By acting like she can't possibly be flawed w the decisions she makes

in the case of ragatha being neglected, do you think she's genuinely just cursed to be treated as the show's punching bag? Is she being neglected just because it's what's the norm and no one really thinks to bat an eye whenever it happens? Or is that partly thanks to ragatha herself being so helplessly allergic to appearing vulnerable in any context whatsoever?

Because here's the thing, i used to think it was the last bit and I still do, but there's like, a Number of moments where ragatha Does attempt to be open and 'vulnerable', or at the very least appear like a Person outside of being nice and accommodating. And whether its the fault of herself or the people around her, she's just tragically unable to find a moment where stuff clicks and someone gives her an ounce of time to check if she's okay. Like IS it an equal mix of both on why that's the case? Or does she really need a hug (I think she needs one regardless)
