Still can't get over how they just added ladders when Sidney was introduced in CGI, kinda prefer his OG look.

Flying Scotsman was getting old & he found the mainline events starting to take their toll.

"Its alright" said the owner kindly "A diesel can take you between events to let you rest your wheels"

At first he wasn't sure about the idea but soon found himself sleeping soundly.

As Edward ran ahead with the train Locke stayed at the back, as brakevans often do, and kept an eye on the trucks as they trundled down the mainline.

If ever one tried to play a trick he's ring out his little bell & Edward would promptly bump them to make them settle down.

Glynn was very proud to be chosen to take the visitors on a vintage tour of his old branchline. The observation coaches were both heavy but knowing the visitors were enjoying the views gave him the strength to keep going.

37683 was always put in a foul mood by the snow. It caused delays up & down the mainline. The trucks, as trucks often do, teased her dreadfully.

"Lousy good for nothing termite infested planks of wood!" she would snarl "Shut it or I'll leave you out here to freeze!"

The little engines of the Arlesdale Railway are often called Toy trains but no matter the weather they prove time and time again to be just as useful as the bigger engines!

The rain made shunting in the yard miserable for Arthur. Normally he enjoyed working at the docks but on days like this the rain would pitter patter down onto the water and block his view of the fish.

It made him most upset.

While Toby was away being mended the Fat Controller brought another tram to help with the goods work.

"They think these trucks are too heavy for me" Leah laughed as she remembered Percy's warning. "I'll show them how strong a tram can be! They won't even want their Toby back!"

Bill & Ben the twins work together all day long down by the Harbour on Edwards branchline, delivering loads of china clay for the big boats to take to far away places.

When Bert came home after his overhaul Rex & Mike thought it was a great joke.

"Look at him with his tall cab" Rex winked.

"Who does he think he is? Silly old Bert will run into bridges now!" Mike teased.

They meant no harm but soon Bert grew cross...

As the men waited for his fire to go out Thomas sat alone in the works shed. It was lonely & thomas had no one to talk to but the spare parts on the trucks beside him.

Non of the others looked near, they all felt a sense of dread around the works shed that no one could name.

With a *THUMP* the signal dropped & stepney rolled into Ffarquar with the enthusiast special!

All the engines had finished there work to watch him arrive, even Mavis had been given permission to attend!

They had a lovely day & all enjoyed seeing Stepney again!

As Terry came up to the crossing he saw a troubling site.

"Where are you off to looking like that?" he asked.

"The fair; Thomas couldn't make it. Where are you going?"

"The fair..."

"Well someone's made a right cock up haven't they" Latasha sighed.

Most engines paid no mind to the ships at the harbour. They were often tall, intimidating figures that's elegant design demanded respect. In turn most ships saw engines as rude & wouldn't speak either.

Porter meanwhile saw things differently & went out of his way to say hello.
