Alena Redraw

2nd redraw (and redesign) of my girl Alena! Ever the reserved one she is!

Honestly crazy seeing the 2 years difference between the first two, you can definitely see when my artstyle took a little turn!

I honestly don't remember giving her the same teal eyes as Lenra, but it could be because the past drawings are when they we're still in the same body (ooooh lore!), so Alena's in Lenra's old clothes–which I shudder at the sight of–and have her eye color, it's also interesting looking at her demeanor since there was moment of time where Alena was more silly and could be why her eyes are wider in the 2019 redraw, but she's back to her quieter self as the og!

It's also a fun challenge to only use 12 colored pencils for this. It's the small faber castell ones so I can easily carry them outside, without a white pencil too >:O

5 years difference wooh! With Kevins old design

He's wearing one of these men's corset tho I'd say his is a little flexible (totally not because I forgot about that part and drew him bending his torso) It's interesting thay out of all my characters, Yen and her sister's design remained the same since 2020, with minor tinkering on the hair stripes. This is one of Yen's alternative outfits too

I have no idea if I talked about it before Since Jackzen and Alena are not actual dragons, just people shapeshifting into dragons, they can fully stand on their two legs like they would when they're human.

Dragon-shifted-humans have their own unique build compared to true dragons and even Dragon-folk, like their anatomy are still close to human, very small scales that are barely fireproof, plated scales on the chest down to the rear legs, thick skin on the torso, arm, and legs area, spines only at the rear end area, the necks are quite short and not so felxible (though some dragon species may have short necks too, human dragons all have the same neck length), etc. They're three inches taller than their human forms at the withers.

Humans can also characterize some features like the spines–they can choose to change them into spikes, fins, feathers, or fur, horns, and wing shape. They can choose to hide their horns and wings. They cannot however change if they're gonna be a western or eastern type of dragon.

Alena is slightly unique due to not being fully human with her dragonic form tail still resembling her winged form tail, as well as her wings

I doodled Alena and Jackzen beside Lightwing to stand up straight like them to compare Human dragons to True dragons

Woohh this one is late but here's my most gendered pair Alex and Lenra!

Finally got around to design Alex to have more feminine clothing, while Lenra masc tho hers has been designed a while ago, just didn't show it yet lol!

I have a thing where I draw something I'm fixated on the year I got the sketchpad on it's first page, and it seems I was fixated on OC's in 2023, neat!

To add a lil more about my own Fantasy setting, I planned to show some more world building or just character stuff here, there will be a pinned post of the main protagonists and deuteragonists!

Though for the novel I plan that may depend since some books would be in different characters pov, and this novel is very very far in the future as I'm not that confident in my writing skills yet, still I look forward to show them off here when I can!!

I've given a sneak peek of them in this years oc pride month art! They are mostly Winged Folk as I do have a little interest in wings *glances at many wing doodle pages,* I may have shown some dragons here too but they're pretty much side characters, but I still love them!! I have some dragon species cooking here, including equines (unicorns, pegasi, etc), I might share some of them here

Hopefully I'll get the time and courage to share them with more people this year!

Been seeing this, so I thought I'd do my 2024 art Summary!

The ups and downs this year was so unpredictable I won't lie, one moment things are good then the next it's suddenly bad and vice versa. I want to post more often and regularly, but alas life gets in the way.

I've been honestly more focused on my oc's and I really want to post more of them but I'm still a little shy about it and fighting the two–no three wolves inside me where one cares about how many people sees them vs. the other just wanting post them out there vs. "nah you don't need to show them to the public" but uh... The last one–I mean I plan to publish a novel about them someday so lmao no choice buddy

I do have such fleshed out au's too of some fandoms I'm in. Most notably DDLC and Genshin, like I made my own world building and everything for DDLC, the timeline shouldn't be too hard since I'll follow what is from the game, and also an OC that was just one of my characters Lenra (you'd see more of her on my oc blog) since I loved doing crossovers of my story and other medias or just using them as fandom oc's lol, but I did replace her with a proper DDLC Oc already I named Zansurika, she's yet to be designed!

I have characters for every Element + Nation (so just 7) for Genshin and they were made back when Inuzama just released so some of their lore changed on the way. The main Character is called Lihara, which is her biological name but she's adopted and grew up in Inazuma and her adopted name is Inakishi Nichiko.

I really want to show them off once things settle better + I get more courage!!
