I have no idea if I talked about it before Since Jackzen and Alena are not actual dragons, just people shapeshifting into dragons, they can fully stand on their two legs like they would when they're human.

Dragon-shifted-humans have their own unique build compared to true dragons and even Dragon-folk, like their anatomy are still close to human, very small scales that are barely fireproof, plated scales on the chest down to the rear legs, thick skin on the torso, arm, and legs area, spines only at the rear end area, the necks are quite short and not so felxible (though some dragon species may have short necks too, human dragons all have the same neck length), etc. They're three inches taller than their human forms at the withers.

Humans can also characterize some features like the spines–they can choose to change them into spikes, fins, feathers, or fur, horns, and wing shape. They can choose to hide their horns and wings. They cannot however change if they're gonna be a western or eastern type of dragon.

Alena is slightly unique due to not being fully human with her dragonic form tail still resembling her winged form tail, as well as her wings

Below are some backstories for each of my HTTYD dragon OCs:

NightLight – The NightLight Fury Dragon (Male)

Born in a secluded valley where the boundaries between night and day blur, NightLight emerged under a rare celestial event. From the moment his egg cracked, it was clear he was destined for duality—one eye shimmers a vivid green, while the other glows a cool blue, a physical testament to his blended heritage. As a hatchling, he roamed the misty glades, quickly mastering his innate cloaking ability. His dark scales, accented by lighter highlights, allowed him to slip effortlessly between shadow and light, a skill that made him both a formidable hunter and a gentle guardian of his territory. Over time, his intelligence and insatiable curiosity led him to forge bonds with dragons from different tribes, ultimately becoming a symbol of unity and balance—a living bridge between the contrasting worlds of Night and Light.

LightWing – The Light Fury Dragon (Female)

LightWing was hatched during the first blush of dawn in a mountain sanctuary bathed in early sunlight. Her birth was heralded by a gentle glow that danced along her uniquely patterned scales, which shimmer with soft streaks of silver and pale blue. Unlike her kin, whose bright blue eyes are the norm, hers sparkles with an enchanting aquamarine hue, hinting at hidden depths. From an early age, LightWing displayed not only remarkable speed but also a rare healing glow—an ability that calmed wounded allies and brightened the darkest moments. With a naturally adventurous spirit and an innate sense of leadership, she soon earned the respect of her tribe. Her gentle nature is perfectly balanced by a fierce protectiveness for those she loves, making her both a compassionate healer and a decisive guardian in times of peril.

ShadowWing – The Night Fury Dragon (Female)

ShadowWing’s story begins in the heart of a volcanic mountain, in a lair where shadows linger even during the day. Her egg, tucked away in a cavern of perpetual twilight, gave birth to a dragon marked by pitch-black scales and striking, otherworldly eyes that glow amber (or perhaps violet) with a mystic intensity. Unlike the more communal Night Furies, she grew up embracing solitude, honing her skills in enhanced stealth until she could vanish into darkness with nearly supernatural ease. Her large, jagged wings not only lend her an intimidating presence but also serve as a symbol of her fierce independence and strategic mind. Although reserved, she is an unwavering protector to those few who break through her enigmatic exterior—her cunning and calculated tactics making her a respected force on any battlefield.

Bewilder – Bewilderbeast, the Hybrid Dragon (Male)

Bewilder was conceived during an extraordinary convergence of forces—a moment when the ethereal qualities of Light Furies, the elusive mystique of Slitherwings, and the stealthy power of Night Furies intertwined. Discovered in a hidden grove within a magical forest, his egg bore no resemblance to any other. Upon hatching, his scales displayed a kaleidoscope of iridescent white, deep shadows, and shimmering hints of color that told the tale of his unique lineage. Bewilder quickly demonstrated an uncanny mastery of his multifaceted abilities: his plasma blasts flash with a signature swirl of energy unlike any other, and his advanced camouflage makes him nearly invisible amid any setting. Intelligent, adaptable, and fiercely loyal, he soon earned his name as a symbol of unity—a living embodiment of strength found in embracing diversity. Roaming the skies, Bewilder serves as both a guardian and a bridge between different dragon cultures, inspiring those around him to see the beauty in hybrid vigor.

Happy pride, everyone!

I wanted to celebrate pride by drawing some Love & Legends icons because it's one of the reasons I love the story as much as I do

Not only did it have two full, well-written sapphic routes with Helena and Altea, but the MC was explicitly bisexual in every route, even when she's dating a guy. The game was so casually and explicitly queer, it meant a lot to me

These are all the canon LGBT+ characters (well, Witch Queen excluded), but I have more headcanons below because who's cishet in a fantasy world?

So I'd completely tricked myself into thinking Caligo was canonically nonbinary. He isn't, but now I can't get it out of my head so I've they-themmed them. August and Altea also have a lot of trans energy to me

Saerys and Reiner are bi to me, with Reiner also being demi. Then Alain is some level of ace and aro spec but his sexuality has been confused by trauma and he isn't sure what it is

Then for the generals, Lennox and Jinhai are bi, Jinhai is also ace, and Magnus is pan
