Remembered the phrase "[someone] is turning in his grave", as a way of saying that someone who's now dead would so deeply disapprove of something that a living person is doing that their corpse would stir in unease.

Then I remembered an expression, "even a worm will turn", as a way of saying that no matter how downtrodden or lowly someone seems, they can nonetheless turn against their abusers and oppressors once they've had enough of it.

Then cross-contamination happened and the phrase "a worm is turning in his grave" emerged to me. I have no idea what that means.

Thoughts on the end of Season 1 (pre Emperor)

1) I loved the representation of the fears for this one, particularly the deeper fears. I'm surprised that Amitys was rejection but I'm also trying to reason that maybe it's also more nebulous since that seems to be her fear more generally and not JUST romantically

2) Okay so if wifi comes from the portal...is...is that how Luz charges her phone? But I mean the cabin looks abandoned, I doubt it has wifi or electricity...im so confused...

3) The dance between Luz and Amity was so freaking smooth animation wise omg it was so good

4) The freaking RIZZ on Luz when she pulled out the glyph papers during that dance was palpible

5) MY SHIP HAS SAILED AND THE REVEAL WAS GOOD

6) I dunno if the big tree will stay there from the Grom battle but I hope so

7) THE RETURN OF THE SNAGGLEBACK! HE DID GET HIS SHELL BACK!!

8) I like the dynamic between the one girl from Bosha's clique and her boyfriend that did a killer gromposal

9) Luz's cat fear was so...random and unexpected

11) The way Amity was ALL IN on her crush after grom was hilarious, the gay can no longer be contained

12) Bosha is such a bitch and for like no reason. Willow didn't do shit to you! WHY ARE YOU INSUFFERABLE?!

13) The staff ignoring the wrongdoings of the star jock is too real

14) Good on Willow for coming into her own after the photo fiasco, also I'm like pretty sure that yellow lizard kid has a crush on her, he was even cheering during practice

15) Damn Luz catches on to glyphs quick, she saw the fire one ONCE and was ready to use it! I forget offhand how she learned the plant one but I think it was legit just AT school. Thanks for the assist BOSHA.

16) The pleasant surprise from the opponents at Luz being supportive and then complimenting Willow and offering her a position <3

17) Willow freaking OWNING the thorn vault makes sense since Luz actually shared her plan and Amity was too embarassed to explain the thorn vault when she was a captain

21) The design for Lilith as a kid was WAY more different than I thought and also the fact she wears glasses as a kid supports my theory that it was her fault

Okay so I finished Season 1 and made two pieces of art today but that also kept me awake until now and the sleep is consuming me. Therefore I shall post my end of season thoughts and the new art tomorrow. Good night everyone!

Thoughts on Episodes 14 and 15.

1) poor King, he actually didn't mean to even shrink them! Yeah he considered it but it was done on accident and he was ready to explain before Luz offered what he really wanted

2) The infamous fried orb has appeared...what the heck is the orb made of?!

3) Also King was giving me strong baby bro energy and it made me sad, he just wanted time with Luz and to commemorate things with friendship bracelets!

4) Continuing to not like Gus when he gets too much focus and that really bums me out because he's interesting but just..kind of obnoxious? I know all of them can be that way but his just seems too consistent and mean Spirited for my liking. Gus, please, I just wanna like you AND YOURE MAKING IT SO HARD

5) Eda in the crab apple sales costume (and the apples honestly) was adorable

6) Poor Willow, she got so screwed over by Amity's parents and I feel so bad for both of them and their friendship. Fuck "prestigious" families and their tendencies toward being assholes. Seems like it's mostly the parents though

7) DESPITE ALL MY RAGE I AM STILL JUST A WITCH GETTIN HAZED

8) Honestly love the memory photos and that whole magic lesson but WHY WERE THEY JUST LEFT OUT

9)Amity. Girl. You're better than this. Like they didn't know you were Willow's friend once.

10) Amity blushing because of Luz multiple times makes the ship sail

11) Willow has Two Dad's! And it wasn't like shoved in your face or made a big deal of! I love it!!!

12) Fixing the memories by fixing the little things out of place was nice, the whole plot for this and how it was executed was so well done and I enjoyed it a lot.

Thoughts on episode 13

1) I feel like the falling out was a bit harsh, it was more Willow and Gus making it sound worse than Luz meant. Like the original statement of "I'm too good for the detention track!" To me just felt like she was saying she had potential

2) I just...I love Barcus. No explanation, one of a kind, 10/10

3) As soon as I saw the fake coven leader transformed I guessed she was a basilisk and I WAS RIGHT! Curse you adorable post-story comics I keep finding!

4) The magical girl transformation of Luz being in every track and looking like a fashion disaster was fun, I like how they visually did the multi-track kids' uniforms

5) Not Amity low key freaking out that she and Luz go to school together in a brief cut away, THE ROMANTIC TENSION

6) Honestly the secret learning hideout was very cool, I hope it comes back somehow because it was awesome design/function wise

7) Gus was...kind of a disaster all episode this time. Gus, please, I love you but you were being an absolute menace AND NOT IN THE FUN WAY

8) Why is Luz's solution to things always "steal something"? It doesn't work. It never works. I blame Eda.

9) of course the lord of Chaos was Eda but also I'm more and more getting the vibe that she just wanted to be challenged and acted out when she wasn't as a kid. Poor gifted kid, I feel you

Honest review:

Burger--Underwhelming, just kind of an above average Dave's Double. Sauce was okay but couldn't get a good taste since there wasn't much on it

Frosty--Actually really good, the sauce stuff is like pineapple mango and it was a good time. Only negative is that the syrup or whatever kind of pooled at the bottom and it was hard to mix it in for a more even taste.

Closing thoughts- Don't spend money on the full collab meal, just get the frosty and whatever food you like best if you like Wendy's

Thoughts on Episode 12

1) I loved that when Luz actually allowed herself to settle down she was able to make the connections she needed, though I headcanon her as ADHD at this point considering her impulsivity, fixations, and attention span. Good thing magic is something she really enjoys!

2) okay the twins are growing on me a little and seem less like assholes and more like normal older siblings, good job with that balancing act

3) Amity is trying so hard to let her guard down and be friends with Luz it's honestly really sweet

4) "I'll be haunted forever by the things I've witnessed, hoot hoot!"

5) I was honestly thinking that Luz would break the twig or inspect it and see a plant or wood related glyph but I'm equally impressed by how quickly she memorized the ice one. She saw it ONCE before it melted and she had it down

Okay I think starting tomorrow I'll be using a new set of prompts, this year's are not viking. Plus I should be able to get a new digital art program to play with tomorrow! For now, this was my best idea for "Hike" and its...barely related honestly. I tried though!

Thoughts on episodes 10 and 11:

1) The fact that the Bat Queen not only came back but was MEANINGFULLY ELABORATED ON. Beautiful. Also does that mean all palismans can communicate with each other or is the Bat Queen unique there?

2) wait how did she have children. Like one puked up the other two so like...did she do that too or...?

3)Kinda want to know more about troll magic users now that they've come up

4) The fact that the elixir no longer is enough to help Eda and she needed to be reminded of who she was...damn that's not good

5) Rage scream! He's like one of those angry frogs!!

6) Little disappointed by 11 compared to some of the others, like it has good potential but I feel like I would have liked both plots having an episode dedicated to them since it was really heavy on the writing plot

7) the fact that I like the writer look makes me feel called out, as well as the bio pic from age 7

8) I wonder how the two stories blended together so well? I wish they mentioned a bit more

9) poor Luz...I know that feel when people don't appreciate your ideas or take a fun thing you're doing together and making it about them or just plan cutting you out somehow

10) WHAT IS CONSPIRACY NOSE CHILD'S NAME? I want to address her as she deserves! And I love the way she talks!! Also the fact she was able to get back there...did...did she steal those strength patches??
