Day #32-33
Day #32-33 (7/25/24-7/26/24)
Note: Again, this is my last week of the speech class so this week will be cut short by two days. However, I will include my plans for the weekend.
Day #32: Today, I did not work out as I just studied and slept.
Post: I took my exams today and I think I did well. However, my speech was not the best in my opinion... Anyways, I did do extremely well on my anatomy exam though which was exciting. Also, I don't know what it is called, but my upper upper thighs are very sore from the hip workout.
Day #33: Today, I walked 4 miles on a treadmill, did a short ab workout, and leg day workout.
Post: My hips flexor area or whatever it is properly called is still sore, so the leg workout was a bit of a struggle, but it's fine. I will be resting a bit though as my right knee is feeling it a bit.
Day #34-35 plan: I plan to do push and pull on those days. I also plan on avoiding running or those kinds of cardio as my right knee is not feeling the greatest and I don't want to injure myself. I will most likely just box or try and do fencing drills if those feel okay to do.
Overall: Overall, I feel as though this assignment was very fruitful for me. I think I might start journaling, but I might not. I do really like doing this though so I probably will start journaling in some way since I'm not too keen on posting very personal things. This was a very unique and cool assignment though and I'm very glad I was assigned to do it! Also, thank you for the awesome class :D.

Day #29-31
Day #29-31 (7/22/24-7/24/24)
Note: This is my last week of the speech class.
Day #29: Today, I did not work out as I just studied and slept.
Post: I didn't do much today, but I did study so that was good. I also re-registered for my classes this fall again as it turns out I did not have the pre-requisites finished for the grad program I wanted to go into. However, to be fair to me, I only found out about this program this summer, but regardless, it is crunching time for senior year.
Day #30: Today, I did a short ab workout and that is it.
Post: My abs are sore, and I have gotten lazy again T_T.
Day #31: Today, I did a short ab workout and a hip workout type of thing that I used to do. I don't really know how to explain it, but it strengthens the hips muscles.
Post: Not going to lie, I have gotten very lazy again. I should be working out more. Also, I have an exam the next day as well as a speech, so I spent time today and on day 29 and 30 to prepare.
Overall: Overall, this week was pretty nice. However, it was very underproductive in terms of my health. It is fair though since it is finals week.

Day #25-28
Day #25-28 (7/18/24-7/21/24)
Note: I am now home in SC. Also, just a side note, these day labels are getting a bit confusing for me as day 28 is July the 21, not the 28 T_T...
Day #25: Today, I did not work out as I just studied and slept. I had an anatomy exam today, so I didn't really workout.
Post: I didn't do much today, but I did do decently on the exam which is cool.
Day #26: Today, we got a dog? My parents have been talking about getting a dog, but I didn't expect that we'd actually do it. We got a golden doodle puppy, which is the correct breed, I think. Regrading workouts, I did a short ab workout today and that's it.
Post: I don't think there will be many more workouts pertaining to walks or runs as I am home now with access to gym equipment.
Day #27: Today, I did a short ab workout and that is it.
Post: I feel like I'm getting back into my lazy mode which is a bit bad. I will try to get the motivation to workout more somehow, but it is also the last week of classes now so I might just slack off a bit and study instead of working out.
Day 28: Today, I moved so, I guess that's technically a full body workout. I moved out of my apartment in Columbia and drive upstate. I'm going to be moving to another apartment due to some roommate related reasons.
Post: My abs are sore which suck, but it is what it is.
Overall: Overall, this week was pretty nice. The puppy is very cute so that is nice. However, I feel as though my motivation to do anything has been very low for some reason. I have so many things to do such as filling out job applications, sending emails, or completing grad school apps, but I can't find the motivation to do anything. Just a me problem, only slightly related to working out.

Day #22-24
Day #22-24 (7/15/24-7/17/24)
Note: I go home on day #24. Also, if anyone was wondering, I like to proofread things so that is why these posts go out on a Sunday afternoon rather than at the end of the day span it encompasses.
Day #22: Today, I did not work out as it was a rest day from the long drive. However, I did do a short hike of 1 mile to see a view in my uncle's neighborhood which was very beautiful, especially for a random neighborhood.
Post: I didn't do much today, but I think a rest day was very much needed.
Day #23: Today, I walked around 2 miles around a neighborhood. Unfortunately for me, it was a very hilly neighborhood.
Post: Today was the big family get together feast kind of thing. Basically, the extended California relatives came to my uncle's house and had a big party with us, the South Carolina relatives. It was fun with great food and great people. However, as many parties are, they can get a bit much, so I stepped out wo walk with my other cousins. That is why I have around 2 miles logged above.
Day #24: Again, I did not work out whatsoever. Today was my last day here, so I spent it with family mostly.
Post: I didn't get much done today, but it's fine as family and making memories with them is always a valid excuse in my headspace. Today, we went to Berkley which was very fun. I also went on a plane the night of this day.
Overall: Overall, the trip was a blast. Unfortunately, it will always have a bit of a stain in my mind as I could have done so much more productive things in lieu of this trip, but it is what it is. However, that's probably just my workaholic side talking. I still had tons of fun and made lots of memories and that is what matters.

Day #19-21
Day #19-21 (7/12/24-7/14/24)
Note: I am still in Las Vegas and, although its beautiful and the sights are amazing, the temperature is just so unbearable. I am going back to the Sacramento area on day 21 though so I will be in good weather soon enough. Interestingly, the weather in the Sacramento area is pretty similar to Greenville. The only difference being more wind and more sun.
Day #19: Today, I did not workout. It was way too hot and I didn't even go out to shop or anything.
Post: The air bnb we stayed at was definitely a life saver as the AC was perfect. Today, was meant to be a do whatever you wanted sort of day, so I decided to stay home and work on assignments and applications. Very nice day though apart from the scorching hot temperatures.
Day #20: Today, I walked about a mile as we planned to walk around at night rather than in the morning which was a blessing as it was surprisingly nice. I did no workout today as we were driving home that night around 11:00 pm and into the early morning of Day 21.
Post: My neck is the only sore part of me as my little brother took my neck pillow that I had purchased the day before for this exact reason. It's fine though since he slept well.
Day #21: Today, I did not get a good night's rest as it was basically just sleeping in a van. I will soon so an ab workout and some squats, most likely 100. There is a 3-hour difference between here and the EST time zone of SC so I am not typing this in the middle of the night, in case anyone was wondering.
Post: I didn't get much done today, but it's fine as rest was definitely a priority. I predict that the workout will be fine today.
Overall: These three days were very fun, except for the high temperatures. It really makes me appreciate that Columbia or Greenville never gets hotter than 80-85 degrees and stays nice. I think that my body has gotten used to the workouts. However, I most likely have not lost any weight as my diet has been unprecedented. Another thing, Jollibee is top tier. If you ever get the chance too, then eat there. Specifically, if you good with spice, then get the spicy fried chicken. It is absolutely heavenly. The fries are pretty average though, just a heads up.

Day #15-18
Day #15-18 (7/8/24-7/12/24)
Note: This week, I will be primality in LA and Las Vegas. For the ab workouts, I usually just look up an ab workout on YouTube. It's usually something by chloe ting as I just like the workouts.
Day #15: Today, I walked around 4 miles. Unfortunately, I didn't do many exercises whatsoever.
Post: My legs are still tired, but I am pulling through.
Day #16: Today, I walked around 8 miles. I did around 75 squats, 50 pushups, and a short ab workout.
Post: Today, I did quite a bit. I would say the soreness is down significantly as my body has gotten more or less used to the workouts. I started to just do them all in one sitting rather than doing them spaced throughout the day like I started with. I think I like doing this better so I will probably continue on with this.
Day #17: Today, I did not work out as I was on a four-hour car ride to Las Vegas and sat next to the worst people possible to sit next to on a long road trip.
Post: I slept like a rock after the road trip. Also, Las Vegas was extremely hot so I don't expect to work out too much. I think the high for the days we were here was around 120 and the low was around 90.
Day #18: Today, I did 100 squats, 50 pushups, and a full ab workout. I did not walk today because it is just so hot outside.
Post: Apart from sore abs, I felt very good today. I am really liking the chloe ting workouts. I have been primarily doing the old 2-week ab workout video challenge from a while back that was super popular. I used to religiously do those so it's been fun getting back into it. The specific video is her most popular one on her channel.
Overall: The first two days were fun, but the last two days were pretty bad. Excluding workouts and such, 120 degree weather is just so unbearable, especially in a packed van with a finicky A/C. The workouts were sparse, but I think I learned a lot regarding what I like to do and what I don't like to do. If you ever go to California, then make sure to check the weather before making plans.

Day #12-14
Day #12-14 (7/5/24-7/7/24)
Note: California has been very fun. Lake Tahoe is definitely a great place to visit if you are ever here. Also, In and out is so good. However, the fries are pretty decent when they aren't in the animal style, and I think they go a bit overboard on lettuce. Another thing is that in and out is very inconsistent in terms of quality between locations which sucks.
Day #12: Today, I walked around 8 miles. I did around 75 squats, no pushups, and no ab workout.
Post: My legs are feeling suprisingly great. However, my arms and abs, specifically my triceps and lower abs, are very sore. I have decided to calm down on the workouts as I am already doing way better than before as I am walking a lot.
Day #13: Today, I walked around 6 miles. I did around 75 squats, 50 pushups, and a short ab workout.
Post: My abs and arms are still sore, but muscle memory is kicking in and the workouts are going quite smoothly now. My leg strength and endurance have definitely improved, but I am still obviously sore.
Day #14: Today, I walked only 1 mile. I was on a car ride for around 7 hours to LA. I did around 25 squats, no pushups, and no ab workout.
Post: I didn't get much done today, but it's fine as rest is always good. I would say my soreness was pretty good today. By that, I mean it got better and not worse, which is great for me.
Overall: These three days were very fun for me, except for the long car ride which was exhausting. I'd say that after this trip, I should try and continue walking a couple miles a day. I am hoping to explore LA in the next few days and walk more. I am especially excited for the food and shopping.

Day #8-11
Day #8-11
Day #8-11 (7/1/24-7/4/24)
Note: I have arrived in California, and I see no gyms in sight. I will mainly just be walking and doing bodyweight exercises until the 17th.
Day #8: Today, I barely worked out as I was quite exhaustrd from the plane ride to California. However, I did do 200 squats today. I am going to plan to restart my old daily routine from highschool of doing 200 squats, 50-100 pushups, and an ab workout daily.
Post: My legs feel like Jello after the final session of squats. I ended up splitting them into 8 sets of 25 throughout the day. I feel as though I should have started a bit lighter, but it's fine. The day afterwards I felt pretty good as in no noticeable soreness at all.
Day #9: Today, I would say I did a pretty decent workout. I hiked/walked around 8 miles today. I also did an ab workout, 50 pushups, and 100 squats.
Post: My abs were very sore after today. However, fortunately for me, everywhere else was good though. My legs were obviously sore due to the long hikes and leg workouts.
Day #10: Today, I walked around 4 miles and did 50 pushups, 50 squats, and a very short ab workout.
Post: I didn't get as much as I wanted done today, but its fine as long as I do get something done. Fortunately, the person who planned the California trip is extremely active which is great for me, but not for the elderly members of the vacation group.
Day #11: Today, I walked 10 miles. I also did 50 squats, 50 pushups, and no ab workout. I decided to take it easier regarding reintroducing my old daily workout routine as it is a pretty large volume of movements, and I am way heavier than I was in highschool.
Overall: In my opinion, this group (day 8-11) was the best group for me. I think that I burned the most calories this week and did the most to improve my body, even if my diet was pretty exorbitant.

Day #5-7
Day #5-7 (6/27/24-6/30/24)
Note: You may have noticed that I have no workout schedule whatsoever and you are correct. I am doing whatever I feel like that day. I will also be in a plane to California on day 8 so workouts will be hindered a bit as it will mainly consist of bodyweight exercises. Also if you see any errors in formatting, then sorry as I am very much new to this website.
Day #5: Today, I did general cardio. I stretched a lot before I started. I did a lot of bag work which is hitting a punching bag. I did that at a moderate to vigorous intensity for an hour with breaks. I also did other kickboxing related drills too, mainly kicking ones.
Post: I felt quite tired today for some reason, but the workout went well anyways. I was quite sore afterwards, but it wasn't anything I couldn't power through.
Day #6: Today, I did legs. I mainly focused on form due to my knees being the way they are. I went slow and steady to make sure every fiber was stimulated. I mainly did dumbbell exercises again. However, for inner and outer thigh, I did bodyweight with high reps due to a lack of a good way to incorporate dumbbells safely into isolating those muscles.
Post: My legs were jelly, and I was most definitely sore. I didn't do anything insane today, but I still am reacclimating to working out.
Day #7: Today, I did not workout. I mostly packed and did errands for my family as we are headed to California the next day.
Post: I didn't get a workout done, but I would say I thoroughly prepared for the trip for day 8.
Overall: this week was fruitful as I mentioned in the previous post (day 2-4). I think I did my best this week. I could have probably increased the intensity of my workouts, incorporated more cardio, or length of them this week, but, overall, I feel good about this week. I also think that this week was a bit unique due to the exams and family emergencies which also hindered my ability to more often workout.

Day #2-4
Day #2: Today was a Monday and I did arms. I focused on biceps and triceps as I have a habit of overworking my shoulders so theyre bigger in comparison. I did three different excersizes for my biceps, four different excersizes for my shoulder, and 2 different ones for my tricep. I did these to make sure to hit each head of each muscle group as well at work them all at once in some.
Post: I think today was pretty good. I wasnt too sore afterwards and the workout. I will say that my left knee felt a bit fragile today so I avoided doing any cardio or leg related movements.
Day #3: Today, I didnt get too much done as I had an exam on day #4. I did a small back and cardio workout. I worked my upper back mostly as I am not a fan of lower back related movements.
Post: My back is fine and I have minimal soreness the next day. I got alot of studying done though which was perfect.
Day #4: Today, I had an anatomy exam so I skipped working out to cram. The most I could say I did was stressing and working my brain out. However, if it can be considered a workout, then my little brother is around 70 lbs and I carried him around today so it could technically be a full body workout.
Post: I didnt get a workout done, but I got an insanely high score on the exam. I was a bit sore due to the carrying, mainly in my calves.
Overall: this week was fruitfull for the mind, not the body. If there wasnt an exam day 4, then I'd have worked on abs and cardio in general. However, it was a pretty good week minus my personal things which made it quite poor.

Day #1: The Start
Hello, it is random workout time. Today, I worked out my legs as well as worked on fencing footwork.
For for the legs workout, I did 5 minutes of jump ropeing for a warm up as well as stretching for around 15 minutes, 25 body weight squats for 4 sets, 12 squats with 70 lb of weight for 4 sets, 40 calf raises for 4 sets, 20 calf raises with 70 lb of weight for 2 sets, 15 romanian deadlifts with 70 lb of weight for 4 sets, 50 body weight lateral leg raises for 2 sets per side, and 15 minutes of hitting a heavy bag, mainly kicks and knees.
For the fencing footwork, I did 20 minutes of footwork drills that scaled from light up to vigorous at the end with a small break before the general practice, around 45 minutes of general practice and drills, 5 more minutes of light intensity footward drills, and a 10 minutes of cooling down by walking and stretching.
Today's workout felt good. Nothing abnormally weak or any sort of injury. I am out of shape and pretty out of practice due to a lack of working out, excluding kickboxing. Due to this, I took a bit of time as my body's condition isnt at where it used to be.
That was my random workout today. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed deciding what excersizes to do on the spot. Next leg day, I will try and work in exercises for my inner thighs and shin.

Random Workout Time
Hello, this is random workout time. This blog will follow my daily workouts whether they be light or intense ones. This will span from the start to the end of my speech course so near the end of June to around the end of July. This may continue if I enjoy it or see it as a large boon to my health. For some context and details on my background, I have been working out here and there since middle school, but no actual long term solid routine, splits, or schedules. Some interesting facts to note is that I like working legs, mainly quads and calves, the most and triceps the least. I have a 1st degree black belt in karate and I am a big muay thai fan so I will probably do a lot of kickboxing as cardio rather than running. I fence for the University's fencing club so workouts specific to that will be either mentioned or detailed. I dont do much barbell related workouts as I dont own one so free weights such as kettle bells, dumbells, or simple bodyweight will mainly be used. Hopefully, this blog will help me get more motivated and more active in my day to day, especially during the summer where I am rather sedintary.
