Lunar Sand taken from the rim of the Shorty Crater by the Apollo 17 Astronauts. This β€œOrange Soil” is a result of volcanic activity on The Moon 3.8 billion years ago. It is so spherical and smooth due to the lack of gravity - pulling the molten substance in towards itself at the time of eruption and thus creating these round particles. β €

Fossilized bivalve shells buried in an ancient sea sediments are receiving daylight for the first time in ~250 million years. These sediments are rich in iron minerals, which has replaced the carbonate shell material and preserved the original texture of the shell. Thank you iron oxides for preserving the growth layering of this shell for us to admire.

as i make my return to this blog, there is one thing i want to mention, and i can’t remember if it’s in my rules or not. well, two things. first, i don’t write with adult versions of the child protagonists/characters unless their story canons are expanded such that the adult versions are not modified versions of the characters. second, if i cannot tell what character you write or that you are a multimuse ( if applicable ) when i skim your blog, it is unlikely that i will follow you. if the nature of your blog is unclear, i don’t visit the blog itself, and i do not have the attention span to peruse the blog in mobile view at length.
