I just wrote over 2,500 words after not writing for a year. Just feels amazing to know that it doesn't matter if what I wrote was any good. Those are words that finally came out and they don't need to be perfect.
And I want this to be your sign that it's okay if you haven't written in a long time. You can always just come back to it.

Tumblr media
As I’m sure you guys have seen, and this is especially for any of my younger audience, this flag is NOT a pride flag to those of you who are wondering or haven’t heard of this yet.
This is a flag that represents a DISGUSTING group of people who are trying to be recognized as a sexuality called Pedosexual which we as the LGBTQ+ community do not want anything to do with. Once again, if you are a minor PLEASE avoid these people at all costs if they have this flag unless it’s a warning post to be wary of this flag !! Be safe !

216 Part Two
HARTLEY RATHAWAY jogged quickly up to the front door of his older sister's house. The black-base ball cap on his head and the dark navy trenchcoat definitely gave the "I don't want to be found" look. Cause that's exactly what Hartley wanted to be, not found. Especially, since he escaped from Cisco Ramon and the Star Labs metahuman prison. Which is exactly what he needed to talk to his sister about.
Before Hartley could even knock or ring the bell, Lucy opened the door and pulled her little brother inside, closing the door shut and locking it.
"Why didn't you tell me you tried to go after Dr. Wells! We talked about this Hart, we would go after Harrison after we had some proof!" Lucy yelled at him.
Hartley gave his sister a sheepish grin, "I'm sorry?"
Lucy scoffed, "You better be sorry. I swear if you told Wells about my kids, Hart. I will knock you out and take you back to Star Labs."
"Of course not, Lucy. You know I love them too. Anyway, I have some news. Are they here?" Hartley said with his hands in his pockets walking around the room.
Lucy walked over to the window and closed the curtains, "No, I sent them to the park. Genevieve is keeping an eye on Peter, Aspen, and Penny. After you called me I canceled practice AND schooling today."
Hartley nodded and took off his hat and placed it on the coffee table, "How is Penelope doing?" He asked.
Lucy shrugged, "Powers are still a little unstable. Doesn't help that the only other person with the same powers as her, died and was a criminal. She is excelling in school though, already doing Junior level stuff. You could probably help her with her homework, I can only help with History. Now, what was the news you needed to tell me?"
"You have to be calm about this, okay?" Hartley asked before Lucy nodded, "Star Labs is working with that red blur. The one they call the Flash, the guy who zooms around catching criminals. They also catch the meta-humans and put them in the old Particle Accelerator room, they have a prison built for them."
Lucy's eyes widened at the news, but before she could respond there was a rapid knocking at the door. Lucy held a finger up to her lips and ushered Hartley into the hallway. Lucy unlocked and opened the door only to see Aspen running in with tears, Penny following close behind with her hands clutching her hair, muttering "I didn't mean to". Genevieve following close behind, supporting a limping Peter with her left arm.
Lucy rushed over and closed the door, locking it once more, "Hartley! Come in, I need your help!" Hartley rushed in and looked at all the kids, rushing over to help Peter into a chair and taking the pressure off Genevieve.
Lucy rushed over to a crying Aspen, "Aspen, sweety, I need your help for a minute, okay?" Aspen continued to cry but nodded, "I need you to get the first aid kit under the bathroom cabinet, okay? I need you to help Peter."
Aspen nodded and rushed into the hallway as Lucy turned towards an out of breath Genevieve, "Gen, I need you to help me move this sofa, over the door, okay?" They did so and covered the door with the sofa, blocking the entrance.
Then, Aspen came running back into the room with a small first aid kit in her hand and handed the box over to Lucy who grabbed it and rushed over to Peter, quickly opening the box and dumping the contents of it.
"Hartley, go to Penny. Genevieve, take Aspen to your room." Lucy commanded while grabbing some disinfectant wipes. Lucy rolled up Peter's left pant leg up to see a bleeding cut down the side.
Hartley held Penny by the shoulders as he tried to get her hands out of the tight grip they had on her hair, "Penelope, you need to take a deep breath. You need to tell me what happened. What happened at the park?"
Penny looked up at her uncle with tears streaming down her face, "I didn't mean to do it. I didn't mean to do it. Please, I didn't mean to. Please, Uncle Hartley, help me." She mumbled over and over and over again.
Hartley nodded, "I know, I know you didn't mean to, but Penny, you have to tell me what happened so I can help you, okay? So we all can help you." Hartley nodded as Penny's breathing calmed down and tears stopped watering in her eyes.
"I-I was playing on the s-swings. An-and someo-someone else wanted it, and P-Peter tried to get the guy to back o-off, but he wouldn't. A-and then the guy tried to punch him so Peter tackled him and the guy started cursing him out. An-and I got scared and my lightning hit Peter, and I di-didn't mean to Uncle Hartley. Please, I didn't mean to hurt him." Penny choked out finally.
Hartley looked over to Lucy who was wiping Peter's leg off with some wipes before grabbing the bandages from the floor where they had fallen.
Hartley patted Penny on the back, "It's okay, it's okay. I know you didn't mean too. Peter knows you didn't mean to. So does, Lucy, Genevieve, and Aspen."
Penny glanced over to a wincing Peter as Lucy bandaged his leg and her lip started to tremble again.
Peter caught the eye of Penny and looked over to her, "It's okay Pen. I'm gonna be fine. We already know I heal quick and really, the other guy is out worse." Peter grinned at Penny and that seemed to ease her mind a bit.
Well, until the doorbell rang.
"Ms. Rathaway, we would like to have a word. It's the CCPD. Some neighbors say they saw four kids running into this house?"
Lucy looked over to Hartley with frantic eyes, "Penny, go and stay with Genevieve and Aspen, tell them the CCPD is here. Hartley go out the back door and there is a cellar you can hide in, it has a tunnel in case you need to escape. Peter stay calm, you know what to do in this situation."
Hartley ran out as Lucy rolled down Peter's pant leg, hiding the bandage and quickly pushing the sofa out of the way with a flick of the wrist, putting it back in its place. She pushed back her hair behind her ear and straightened out her shirt and waved her wrist again. Making everything off the floor go into the first aid box and throwing away the bloody wipes into the trashcan, as she walked over to the door, unlocking it.
Lucy grabbed a magazine from the trash near the door and threw it to Peter who caught it and opened it, pretending to read it.
Lucy opened the door, "Hi, sorry about that. I was in the bathroom. Did you need something?"
"Hi, I'm Detective Joe West. I'm investigating the strange phenomenon that happened today, 12:37 p.m, at Central City Park."

216 Part One
SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD PETER KINGSLEY waved his right hand at his friends as they drive off in their Nisson Versa, away from his house and into the darkness of the night. He knew it was probably after his curfew, but probably not that much and if he was a couple of minutes late, he was sure Lucy wouldn't be too mad.
Peter chuckled at the sight of his tipsy friends hollering out the window, having the time of their high school lives. They had just come back from the weekly high school football game and after that win, everything was great. Peter had even earned some extra money from the fools at Westerberg Academy that actually thought they stood a chance against East Central City or ECC High for short.
And Peter kept on chuckling as his keys jangled in his hands while he was unlocking the front door to the urban housing. Peter waltzed right in, shut the door quietly (the last thing he wanted to deal with at 12 a.m was an angry Aspen), and threw his keys on the table as he yawned.
But, the keys never hit the table and Peter groaned as the living room floor light turned on as well.
"Ugh," Peter groaned again as he caught the eyes of his best friend, Genevieve Carr (concentrating hard on the house keys and the lamp switch), and the only adult that ever actually cared for him, Lucille Rathaway.
Lucy raised an eyebrow, "Ugh is right Peter, it's two a.m. You're two hours late." Lucy glanced over to the clock while in her favorite spot on the L-shaped couch, the corner.
Peter's eyes widened as he looked over to the same clock Lucy had glanced over to, confirming that it was indeed two o'clock and not twelve.
"Ah, fu-" Peter started before he felt the temperature drop in the room and saw a brown-haired girl walk in.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence, Pete." The girl replied warningly with her hand in tow with a red-haired girl, around the same age. Both of them in pajamas; poodles and giraffes respectively.
"Aspen, Penny, what are you two doing up?" Lucy questioned while rubbing her temples. She was way too old to be doing this every Friday night.
Aspen, the brown-haired girl, pointed a long pale finger over at the taller boy, "I was waiting for Pete to come home. He promised me he would finish a chapter of The Hobbit tonight. It's not like we have school tomorrow."
Lucy stood up from the couch and looked to the quieter blonde in all of this, "Genevieve, can you please take Penny and both of you go to bed?", Lucy stared over at Aspen next, "And just because you don't have school, doesn't mean you can drag Penny into this. She does have online school tomorrow."
As Lucy finished giving out orders and Genevieve and Penny left the room, Aspen could see her big brother trying to sneak to his room behind Lucy's back. With a quick flick of the wrist, Peter was caught in his place.
"Aspen! What the hell!", Peter cried out while pointing to his feet which were now covered in ice.
Lucy glared over at Peter, "Peter Kingsley! You know how thin these walls are and you know Penny doesn't like language, and besides, you can easily melt that. And Aspen, what have I said about using your powers on people?"
Peter scoffed and with one last quick shiver, he clenched his fist, closed his eyes, and the ice around his feet completely melted away. Although, it still made the carpet and his pants wet.
"Okay, Aspen, go to bed and we will take about the use of your powers in the morning. Don't worry, Peter will read you TWO chapters of The Hobbit tomorrow.", Lucy replied. Peter knew there was no room for argument there. Content, Aspen nodded and walked back into the hallway as Lucy waited for the door to close before talking again to Peter.
"Peter," Lucy started as she walked over to the boy, "This is the second time this week, the tenth time this month. You're a good boy, I know you are, and I trust you, but Peter, you have to get yourself together. Aspen looks up to you, you influence her, Pete."
Lucy waved her hand over the wet spot on the carpet, where the ice had melted and where the moisture had dripped from the brown-haired boy's pants, and with a gentle, warm, breeze over the damp spot, it was dry.
Lucy then stared right at Peter, "From until you've gained the privilege back, you are not going on any Friday excursions with friends after a game, you are not going to the skate park on the weekends, and you will be back at the house at 7' o'clock to have dinner with us during the week."
Peter scoffed and stared at Lucy shocked, "What? So, I'm grounded then?" He asked. Lucy nodded, "And Peter, so help you if you break any one of these rules, there will be dues to pay. Like your subway card."
"You can't do that!", Peter replied bitterly.
"And what's stopping me? Huh, I'm your guardian, Peter. I take care of you, the least you can do is respect that." Lucy retorted. She was not going to lose to a staredown to a seventeen-year-old hormonal boy.
Peter stomped away in defeat, disappearing into the dimly lit hallway and slamming his bedroom door closed.
Lucy sighed and rubbed her temples once more, she really needed to invest in some peppermint oil with four kids in the house now. She was about to turn off everything and head to bed herself when her home phone rang. She walked over and grabbed the phone and pressed the green answer button.
"Hello, Lucy Rathaway speaking?"
"Hello, sister. I'm in need of a place to stay."
