Why do you hate harries so much?

My, I’ve been accused of so much in my two years on Tumblr, yet this is the weirdest of them all, and the only explanation I find is that you are so defensive for a specific reason that it leads you to think hate is the only reaction to everything. Let me say this loud and clear.

1) There are bigger issues than fandom in the world going on right now. It would be nice if you joined to seek for a solution.

2) I personally don’t hate anyone, and much less a group that, you know, is an entelechy. I don’t like certain behaviors some people assume while acting within groups, because as a human being living in community they scare the hell out of me.

3) I love people for who they are, and not their hobbies. Taste changes, behaviors remain.

4) If you feel I “hate” harries because I point out the systematic hatred a portion of people that like Harry Styles professes for every single woman associated with him that they can’t dismiss as family, FriendTM, gay or ugly, maybe you should take a seat because a) I’m not going to stop, and b) you are doing a poor service to Harry fans and Harry ultimately, trying to justify this behavior.

5) So please, let’s move on from Rhetorics 101 and abandon the strawman, but especially the dehumanization. Listen to Louis’ last single. These people are not your private dolls. They’re real people, all of them, like it or not. They’re human beings, and they deserve to live their lives without entitled fans screaming at every decision they make you don’t like. Listen, for once. Take your head out of the echo chamber you are in, and listen.

I have been reading a couple of your messages debunking Larry and saying that is not legal to force someone in the closet but there are many cases of actors and singers who were told to stay quiet about their sexual orientation and even forced to do stunts in order to keep their reputation as straight as possible, Lance Bass was told to be "less gay", Lauren was forced to stay in the closet by her record label and Colton Haynes even suffereed from depression cause he could not come out.

His bandmates didn’t even know he was gay. How could he be told to be less of something he was keeping so private not even his bandmates knew?

Lauren Jauregui was forced to stay in the closet according to her label… according to who? Since when has she said this?

Colton Haynes says he was told he couldn’t be openly gay when he came to Hollywood, that his management team told him he couldn’t be.

Being pressured by teams and by people there telling you that your success hinges on whether you come out or not is absolutely a reality of the industry. There’s still an issue with how being gay will translate into fans and an audience.

What he has never said is that he was contractually forced into being straight. That he signed contracts with beards with his management team that bound him to them and he couldn’t get out. That he had to sue or work around anyone to get out of it.

He’s also spoken about it now. He has not been sued by his old management team for doing so.

I’m struggling to see any connection to Larrie theories here. Teams and people putting pressure on you to be straight because it sells better - a reality. Something Larries never address in fact. Contractually binding your sexuality and forcing you to live a fake life - a Larrie fantasy work.

There’s absolutely no comparison between real LGBT experiences of being in the closet in Hollywood and the Larrie torture oppression fantasy. All these people have also spoken up about it and again, none have been sued for coming out. None have been sued for talking about the pressure they experienced from anyone on their teams/labels etc. 

So why is this only happening to Louis and Harry?

i honestly think it’s so weird and uncomfortable how people think harry in particular owes us something and when he doesn’t “pay up” he’s a bad person with bad intentions and doesn’t respect his fans. like we made the decision to pay money on his album and his concerts. i’m obviously a fan of harry because of his music but also because of what he puts out there in the world. am i automatically wrong for liking harry because y’all have this checklist of things that a celebrity needs to do in order to be redeemable? 

we don’t deserve anything from harry just because we’ve bought the things he’s selling. it’s literally that simple. these are human beings, not monkeys whose sole purpose is our entertainment.
