Bad being in denial about Pangi's state and constantly repeating "Do you know Pangi was the first to join green faction?" starts to make painful sense if we rewind back to the faction day. When Bad was asked to go on stage to pitch his faction, he was met with boos way before he even took a step forward. He had arrived there just after his base was destroyed by the kingdom and climbed that stage not expecting anyone to rally behind him.
And yet, less than ten seconds after he asked who would join him, Pangi—who had already chosen yellow btw—changed his mind on the spot. Without hesitation, he walked up and stood beside Bad. From then on, it was just the two of them, shoulder to shoulder, standing against the world. For months, they only had each other. No convincing, no promises. Just loyalty.
Pangi stood by Bad without question. He was Bad’s anchor, the one constant in the rising tide of madness and Bad became the calm eye in Pangi’s storm. They balanced each other in the chaos—one with quiet schemes, the other with fire in his veins. You'd never think they'd work well, and yet they did.
And yet here Bad stands, watching Pangi get worse day by day getting consumed by the corruption unable to be helped while Pangi faces a quiet erosion of his very own self. So of course Bad clings to that one moment — because if Pangi was the first to stand beside him, maybe Bad won’t be the first to leave

Bad hugging Pangi saying "Bring it in, no need for tears" while Pangi goes "in not crying". That hug was definitely more for Bad than Pangi and I think both know it but neither will voice that out loud <3333

The Pangkey clip ever. To me.
Pangi: But hey, man. I don't see you any different. For me you're just Lukey.
Lukey: That means-
Pangi: You might have a past, but I have as much of a past as you.
Lukey: That means a lot. Thank you.
Pangi: If you ever just want to talk to me, I'm here for you.

Pili's character analysis of Pangi x Lukey vs Pangi x Pili 1 was so good I needed to write it down.
[Pangi stream 5th April: No One Can Stop Me Anymore. Timestamp: 01:10:09]
Notes:
- Chatter message states that Pangi spent 25 streams with Pili 1 and almost 37 with Pili 2.
- CC!Pili & CC!Pangi don't miss OG Pangili because "Hating Pangi is more fun" #ProfessionalHater
------
Pili says he feels the difference that makes people like Pangi x Lukey more is that, from a viewer point, Pangili was just friends (perhaps he forced it to more a bit at the end) and were doing things as best friends and Bad was in the equation.
There were multiple layers to it in that they had a lot of break-ups, with a lot of "we're so back" "it's so over", not necessarily because of a lack of compatibility between the characters but that did play into it. Particularly in the way that Pili 1 tends to be more closed, pushing people away, avoidant attachment style.
There's a lot of issues and layers to unpack with the OG Pangili. Pangi has separation anxiety to some degree - it's this person or it's nothing, ride or die. On the other side of the coin is Pili 1 who thinks he should push this person away because things are gonna get complicated and they will suffer the consequences of Pili 1's actions (Which is why there was a constant message from Pili 1 that Pangi deserves better).
Pili 1 didn't put Pangi in his thoughts for the things that he was doing. In the way of the fight with clown, Pili 1 knew that he would probably die and Pangi would be effected by this. If Pili 1 was a better friend he probably wouldn't have done that, but he was trying to not have an attachment to Pangi - which made him not have that responsibility or thought of "What would be best for Pangi?" insted of just doing what he wanted and being selfish about it.
It wasn't that Pili 1 didn't care about Pangi, he cared about him enough to know that if he were to stay with Pili 1 he would've been broken and had his life ruined (which ended up happening anyway). He cared enough to push Pangi away.
They started as friends and, aside from a few jokes here and there, they never bluntly flirted. There was a lack of communication between them, not even in a romantic sense, they just never spoke about how they were feeling and kept things that were happening to themselves.
It was two people who vibed for a moment, but you can tell it wasn't meant to last. With the way both characters are traumatised, built and work - it was never going to work out that way between them.
On the flip side, Pangkey started being gay from point zero. From the beginning Lukey definitely has been trying to push Pangi closer, rather than away. Which is something that Pangi is always trying to seek - he needs some sort of validation, he needs a ride or die. He had Ros at some point, but Ros didn't work out because she's in The Kingdom.
This is where Lukey comes in, right time right person - what Pangi wants and how Lukey is aligns. Pangi never had friends and just wanted a friend.
Lukey is more chill vs Pangili's toxicity and layers. Even when Pangi killed him, he wasn't upset.

Yeah, sorry about your boyfriend, he's probably dying to the corruption in about a day. Yeah, you could've done something but you couldn't remember the cure in time. You were too busy in Sweden. Yeah, he's writing down all his memories now in case this causes him to forget everything. Sorry :/
Can you make sure his other situationships know? Thanks!

ok im writing a take on the whole bisexual tr!pangi thing that is acutally grounded in canon bc I have thoughts.
I think Pili/Mocha was Pangi's bi awakening but that the experience was so damaging that he is unable to be open about it now. I think Pangi realised he was in love with Mocha about when they had their first fight but as he was falling for him, Mocha was starting to distance himself from Pangi.
When Mocha died he did so pursuing someone else (quasiromantically) and Pangi never got to say "I love you" even though he was about to. Pangi also believed that Mocha didn't reciprocate his love and while he was wrong it was definitely a reasonable thing to believe as Mocha was actively avoiding him at that point.
Following Mocha's death Pangi closed himself off. People were mocking him for losing his closest companion and poking fun at the nature of the relationship. This hurt especially bc Pangi was never sure what the nature of the relationship was and Mocha didn't even give him a farewell book like so many others got.
Pangi was ready to put himself out there but he got hurt so badly that now he is afraid to. Sure he may joke but Pangi Never is vulnerable with anyone. There is a chance you could argue he tries to be with Ros but even then he is very guarded.
I also think Mocha's death is where his protectiveness comes from because he is afraid of losing someone again so he will defend them and give them what they need to stay safe.
Then Pili comes back as Pili2 (Who I will just refer to as Pili). This person who looks very similar to his lost love but does not recognize him and behaves very differently.
Our of confusion and uncertainty and maybe a little obsession and resentment Pangi makes a bad decision. He stalks Pili. This makes Pili rightfully scared of him and makes people view him as obsessive and dangerous. But then after a few days he realizes that what he is trying to do isn't healthy. Pili and Mocha are different people and he needs to move on. He has been hurt enough, he wants to close the wound. (it doesn't work but thats not super important for this topic)
Then Lukey comes around and after a few weeks its clear that both Lukey and Pangi like each other romantically. But still Pangi doesn't put himself out there. He conceals his emotions and discourages all vulnerability (see the helmet thing).
Slowly though we are seeing that start to chagne. I think that Pangi is trying to fix all the mistakes he made with Mocha. He tells him that he loves him early, before it is too late. He doesn't let him get away with doing risky things. He makes sure they actually talk to each other and makes sure Lukey doesn't feel like he has to hide things.
But Pangi is still hiding things. Even though he is open with his affection he will never speak the romantic part aloud because he is too scared, too hurt.

I find it funny how almost every lifestealer that went to the realm decided that they HAVE to break up whatever lukey and pangi have going on. Especially when considering that most of them made lifesteal their canon backstory. Its like when a friend group start acting super defensive when one of them starts dating a person from outside the group
