If everything works out, I’m about to buy my first home. I don’t want to get too excited just yet but I’m pretty hopeful.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Porsche Taycan or the new Rivian 2 (because I want an EV) but I also want to just get something cheap as a daily driver like a Mercedes A class, Volkswagen Taos or a Mazda 6 hatchback. I don’t drive very much.

The Rivian 2s also don’t come out until 2026 so I’ve been hesitant about reserving one because I don’t know if I want to wait that long.

On top of that, I’m struggling to choose between a condo and a house. If I get a condo in the city it’s probably more convenient to get an e-bike or e-scooter. It seems pretty ridiculous to have a car when most things are in walking or biking distance.
