Mildly horrifying fashion prompts because I'm morbidly curious:
Is it possible to design a suit that actually looks good with gold shoes? As in golden dress shoes. Embellishments for the shoes and accessories are allowed, but the base shoe has to be gold. You don't often see suits with warmer/brighter colored shoes but I saw someone pull it off with pink once. Granted it was a pink suit and the shoes were a darker shade. But still.
This is two parts me just thinking out loud- in writing? And one part actual curiosity.
Side thought, marginally more horrifying: Lime green shoes.

Does anyone have any ideas for ghost catching inventions? I got in over my head trying to write a DP story where Danny became a ghost hunter/ecto-biologist/inventor like his parents (partially so that he can better hide his ghost half, partially because he's been hearing about ghosts all his life and they're REAL, partially because being an astronaut is no longer an option) but I never realized how much work goes into theorizing for new inventions until I started coming up blank. The Fentons invent a lot of stuff and that's when the focus isn't on them. And while I could see them repurposing some inventions or making new vehicles and stuff, they're also constantly making new inventions.
Something outlandish, like something that mimics the sound a baby ghost (or the equivalent) would make. Something useful, like a blacklight that reveals Ectoplasmic residue or something when stuff like the Booo-merang can't find the ghost (because there's no previous signature sample to lock onto), or Danny's ghost sense is out of commission/he's not around, etc. Something cool, like a collapsible battle-axe for Sam. (Whoever came up with that idea, you're awesome and I love you.) Something dumb, like the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick™. (No hate against the Creep Stick. I think a lot of their problems could've been solved if they just used a baseball bat, but that's all it is. A bat with a sticker. They didn't even coat it in ectophobic paint or something so that it would be effective against ghosts!) Something useless, like the hot dog device that kept reanimating the hot dogs. And so on and so forth.
I crave ideas.

Also on a completely unrelated note, does anyone have any fic recs of Tim becoming Red Hood's Robin instead of Batman?
Every now and then, I think about how much I'd like a good story about the batboys actually being each other's family.
I mean, I know there are quite a few. There are ones where they seem pretty normal in their interactions, ones where they address their trauma and issues with each other in a healthy way, ones where they're so wildly ooc that you take a second to wonder if this is really the character they author says they are (not that all fics like this are bad, some are pretty neat), ones where they're so wild and chaotic, but ultimately as normal as you can be as superheroes with a new canon event/apocalypse/trauma flavor of the week.
But I'm not talking about those. The ones that I want to read are about them being... completely unhinged. Like, the door is falling off as we speak. You know Kirito and Asuna in SAO abridged? Like that, but platonic. I want them to be so dysfunctional and unhinged that it loops right back around to being a healthy relationship, y'know. Maybe a bit of murder, as a treat.

One of my favorite tropes for DP and related crossovers:
Danny pointing out a spiritual problem, tech problem or some flaws in a system he comes across (as in tech, governmental, or general procedure-wise) and fixing them with innovation, common decency/respect, a healthy amount of sass and/or witty commentary (or total nonchalance), and a lot less difficulty than than anyone could have imagined, maybe even wondering why know one else had done so already. And the people he fixed it for going, ‘We can do that?’.
And vice versa:
Someone, one of his team members or one of the ghosts he's on semi-decent terms with pointing out something obvious, to them at least, that would reduce his work load, if not majorly, then enough to make a difference. And Danny, with relieved tears in his eyes, an unhealthy amount of self loathing for not thinking of it sooner, and enough exhaustion to physically weigh down the air itself, going, ‘I can do that?’

Found family tropes - Collect them all! (Almost all parties are optional and/or exchangeable, but valued nonetheless!)
• Quiet kid who is too smart for their own good, always either stays at home and lurks in their room or gets into the most trouble. No in-betweens.
• Big, unfriendly looking guy (gn) who is actually very sweet and loving. A gentle giant.
• 'Precious little angel' who is infact a manipulative little shit (usually the youngest).
• The really smart one who only acts responsible when the others don't, but is a total dumbass the rest of the time.
• The violent lesbian. Either very loud with her beliefs or quiet and deadly, but chaos incarnate either way.
• The 'anything goes' sibling who is most adaptable and usually has a great deal of common sense, but is with the crazy group for a reason.
• Crazy old coot who is actually kind of skilled. Probably focused on some kind of conspiracy that he's probably right about. Has some of the most memorable lines. (Emotional support grandpa?)
• Very capable old coot who is tired of everyone's bullshit, but is now too emotionally invested to leave. (Typically a retired veteran of some kind or a reformed villain)
• Tired Parent who has no idea what they're doing or why they're here, but doing their best
There's always at least one self sacrificial idiot who everyone cries over.
Repost with a show/movie/book of your choice in the tags! Whichever one covers the most tropes wins! (Lol)
