Project in process, has had a few minor issues that are all fixable when caught in time. Luckily my client sent my detailed plan with product specifications and finishes to the painter which will help fix the issues. They put masonry paint on the outdoor stone fireplace and brick retaining wall that was supposed to be Limewash 🙄 it was caught when the client sent me the pics. Excited to show this transformation of a classic Georgian style home using @romabiopaints. My client loved her home but not the red brick 🧱. Since it is a specific architectural style she struggled with what to do changing the brick color but not going too “white” and have it look wrong. During the process after one coat was put on the side of her house, a neighbor took a picture and put it on Facebook, which of course sparked a lot of opinions. 😏 Fast forward and now it is done, she lives in a cul-de-sac and people are traveling to go by and look at it because of the fabulous outcome. 😆 As it was happening, it did not make her feel good because the first coat surrounded by yellow trim and looking like primer doesn’t always have a favorable look. I’ve seen this happen before and it’s not very fair when people weigh in. Moral of the story? Think before you post, 🤔 Is this something nice and helpful or will it make the owner of the home feel bad? New project at our lowcountry cottage! Finding a good carpenter is so important, I feel like I’ve been looking all my life😂 I found one, he’s done a few projects for us already. Mario is amazing! I showed him my inspiration pic ⬅️ and he knocked it out in a day and a half 😆 He wrapped the posts in cedar to make them heftier, very pleased with the results. Fun little project at our lowcountry cottage that transpired like most of my “little” projects it GREW 😂 I didn’t love the color I had chosen for our back door, usually one of my fav’s @benjaminmoore Iron Mountain. Something odd happened here and it looked brown and the painter painted the trim around it the same, which is usually not my preference on a secondary door #swipeleftforbefore. So I decided to paint it white @benjaminmoore Cloud Cover to be precise, a color I will eventually do all of the trim when we repaint the entire house siding a warmer “white” thinking @sherwinwilliams White Duck ☺️ Happy to finish today because I ran into an “issue” when I discovered the painter did not PRIME the PVC. I have a lot of clients looking for that perfect “white” for their homes’ exterior.
