Some answers
Hi y'all!
Some words from the Reckon HQ. To answer some of your questions: Q I'm using an Android phone! When can I start using Reckon? A Soon! We just had a meeting and decided to go for it. We're building an Andriod App! Of course we need to build and test it, so that might take a while. Give it a couple of months. Maybe sooner...
Q Some of the symbols don't work. é ë å ü etcetera will mess up my text. A We know. We fixed it on the website www.reckon.nu and also in the App, but because Apple needs to review the application first, the update will take at least 2 weeks. So: we're on it.
Q I keep experiencing errors. A We've tested the App on all sorts of iPhones, iOS versions and all features. Unfortunately: we're not flawless. There are many users and many Reckons, so we're happy most of you are doing well. Some of you are not. We're very sorry. Try re-installing your App. If that doesn't work: please send us your specific data concerning your error: [email protected]. Thanks for helping us!
Q Do I need to post my Reckons to Twitter of Facebook? A No, not at all! You can post your Reckons to Reckon only, that's fine.

This is our CTO @yoazt. He was stressing because the database was showing all sorts of errors. Turned out our hoster was working on their systems and everything returned back to normal. Fingers crossed for the launch this afternoon!

Reckon 1.4 is the real deal
After some testing, rebuilding and – to be honest – some slacking, we've hired Merijn Goris (Klepper) to help us out with the real launch of Reckon. We all agreed on april 16th being the day of the big launch.

First post!
Hi all,
Here's a first word from the Reckon App / Recensiekoning headquarters on this corporate blog. Its not meant for the big crowds that visit Reckon.nu or recensiekoning.nl , but merely for those who are interested in the process behind the company and services.
Short introduction: we founded Recensiekoning in 2010 and became a popular weblog in the years that followed. Our own book got published, a big newspaper buys our content, our writers perform on national radio and in 2012 we were asked by the Lowlands Festival to perform. For more information on Recensiekoning, please visit the website itself.
Reckon app and Reckon.nu were built in the first part of 2012 by our own Joost, Niels and interactive designer Patrick Pietens. We softlaunched 1.1 last saturday and without any big announcements we already have 500 users that post and comment on the website and app.
1.1.1. is expected within a week. It contains an important bug fix that let's you pick your own twitter account to post from. (oops). After that, there's 1.2. This version contains friend-following. 1.3 will contain channels by tags and in app notification. No guarantee of validity concerning these statements, though.
Anyway... In the future we've got a lot more planned, but we will keep you updated when the time is there.
