A hangnail!” AND LITERALLY HE IS TERRIFIED OF IT, AND I NEVER EVEN CONSIDERED HOW RICHIE DEFINITELY WAS TOO

I know "Richie is scared of dying because he's gay and growing up during the AIDS epidemic" has been beaten to death, but Richie really was scared of death because he was gay and growing up during the AIDS epidemic huh?

People sometimes do the thing with Richie that sometimes happens to comedians where people try to outfunny him/heckle him loudly or "give" him jokes to use and usually Richie will just be funny back and tolerate it but sometimes it can be exhausting when someone is constantly trying to outwit you or give you advice about how to do your job to your face...

So Eddie decides to cheer him up about this by being like "Hey! Hey trashmouth! Mr tozier! I've got one for you to use at your next set!" and then will launch in to the lamest joke he could possibly find on purpose to make Richie laugh, like genuinely some of the easiest, corniest, cheesiest and pun based stuff you can think of

And it gets Richie every single time without fail - every lame pun, every knock knock joke, every single one of them. Richie can't breathe for laughing at them no matter how bad the joke is cause everything about the joke, and Eddie's delivery, and how willing he is to make lame jokes to him in public is so funny that he can't help himself. He will snort laugh and then that makes Eddie scream laugh and the two are set off for at least like 20 minutes
