16. What a time to be alive… or at least that’s what every adult says to teenagers. But for Beth her birthday was…. Lacking. To put it shortly. not that she wasn’t showered in gifts and praised for being pretty or… beautiful or whatever guys said to try and get a lay with her. She just didn’t care about the necklaces or the dress's or the shoes. All she wanted was to smoke some weed by the quarry with her favourite loser.

Yet… no matter how much she looked she couldn’t find him. She got all pretty for him in the morning, just for him. She barely dressed up for a boy. Not even Patrick, unless it was HIS birthday. But here she was… sitting on the curb… feeling like a loser.
