In conversion therapy, their goal is to get to person to stop being same sex attracted. They use those exact words, as the word gay to them means giving into homosexual desires.
Conversion therapy believes that same sex attraction comes from nurture, not nature. It is saying that no one is born same sex attracted, but rather for one reason or another, came into a life of deviancy aka SSA.
Now with that said, I cannot believe trans activists think what they are spewing is anything other than homophobic conversion therapy. Everything listed above is what TRA’s say.
They do not want us to be same sex attracted. It is bad and wrong. Transphobic. Instead, we need to be same gender attracted, attracted only to someones gender identity.
They believe same sex attraction comes from nurture, the environment. An environment that somehow nurtured the belief that gay men should like dick and lesbians should like vulva. A brief reminder that we live in homophobic societies that would never endorse such a notion.
But no, no, this apparently isn’t conversion therapy, there’s no god here, there’s no bible leading these people, this cannot be conversion therapy.
We don’t want you to stop being gay, we just want you to be gay the right way. The less harmful, deviant, destructive way.
All I can say to that is,
1. Open your eyes to the rhetoric you’re spitting out and
2. Gay men and women were tortured for centuries. They were injected with nausea and vomit inducing drugs while they looked at pictures and videos of the sex they were attracted to. Electrocuted while watching porn. Slapped and beat for arousal.
And when they left those torture centers, if they even left alive, they were still homosexual.
Meaning, you all can yell and scream all you want, scar and hurt us mentally all you want. We’ll always be gay, whether you like it or not. Whether us gay people like it or not.

“the vegan lifestyle exploits the fuck out of workers” k lets use our brains for a second shall we it takes way, way, WAY more land, labor, water, crops, basically any resource you can think of, to fatten up an animal and eat it versus just eating plants directly. the exact conversion ratios differ based on the species of animal, what they’re being fed, whether we’re talking about flesh or milk or eggs, etc. https://awfw.org/feed-ratios/ ^ This is a handy resource that contains several different estimates + sources of those estimates. If you don’t want to click the link, here’s some percentages of edible output per 100 units of feed to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Birds: calories 11%, protein 20% Pigs: calories 10%, protein 15% Cows: calories 1%, protein 4% source “creating a sustainable food future” p.37 from the world resources institute some feed conversion ratios go based on live weights of animals, but those aren’t really useful because plenty of an animal’s corpse is inedible, and they lose a lot of blood when slaughtered, yadda yadda. the point is, yeah agricultural practices are generally horrible and workers in fields suffer terrible conditions, but animals dont grow from magic, they grow from plants; its actually fuckin absurd to act like veganism somehow contributes more to worker exploitation seeing as a vegan diet requires less labor. side note: yes some ruminants like cows are grass-fed, but 1. the vast majority of the meat consumers purchase comes from factory/intensive farming, and 2. grass-fed is actually worse for the environment. “Cattle ranching is the largest driver of deforestation in every Amazon country, accounting for 80% of current deforestation rates.” -from the Global Forest Atlas website [link to full article]. environmental activists have literally been assassinated in brazil for speaking out against this and trying to save their forests.
anyways... speaking of worker exploitation, it would be ridiculous of me not to bring up the plight of slaughterhouse workers. aside from the many physical dangers present in slaughterhouses (many of which are present in most industrial jobs but with the added bonus of dealing with large, terrified animals), the psychological impact is horrifying. on a personal level, many workers develop symptoms of PTSD(!!) and other psychological issues due to repeatedly having to inflict terrible violence. this doesn’t just affect the workers themselves but the communities they live in. one study that took data from hundreds of counties from 1994-2002 compared the effect of slaughterhouses on crime vs. other similar industries. the yale global health review summarizes the results; “Though the industries they used for comparison were nearly identical in other predictors of changes in crime (namely worker demographics, potential to create social disorganization, and effect on unemployment in the surrounding areas), slaughterhouses outstripped all others in the effect they had on crime. They led not only to a larger increase in overall crime, but, disturbingly, disproportionate increases in violent crime and sexual crime.“ (article: https://yaleglobalhealthreview.com/2016/01/25/a-call-to-action-psychological-harm-in-slaughterhouse-workers/)
even if you do not give a single fuck about non-human animals its undeniable that the animal agriculture industry has a fucking awful effect on our environment and humans.
pointing ur finger at vegans and calling it an “exploitative lifestyle” while ignoring the fact that diets containing farmed flesh/secretions are inherently more exploitative- and in general, worse for humanity and the planet as a whole- is intellectually dishonest. pls stop using lazy excuses to justify human behavior like just throwing ur hands up and saying the world is fucked up cmon man im so tired pls im begging yall
p.s. srry if theres a shitload of typos and grammar issues in this, im not joking when i say im extremely tired rofl, also not trying to b rude but i didnt proof read this shit for word choice / tone so if im a lil snappy dont take it personally pls ..
if a single person actually reads this shit i will be happy
The most obnoxious thing about the whole veganism debate is the inability from both sides to admit that the other side does have a point. The animal agriculture industry does treat animals like shit. the vegan lifestyle exploits the fuck out of workers. What yall need to accept is there is no ethical way to eat and you’re not better than anyone else for eating or not eating meat. Have you seen the world we live in lol

Putting a gnc lesbian wearing skimpy swimsuits on the cover of a male created and consistently misogynistic magazine with her entire ass exposed, visible nipples, and classic swimsuit modeling poses with ONE shot of her flipping the bird really isn’t as revolutionary or amazing as y’all are making it out to be. Men selling images of Sexy Lesbians to other men is still just... men selling images of Sexy Lesbians to other men. I know she is the first openly gay woman to be on the cover of this publication, but when will we realize as women that being made into a product or helping sell a misogynistic magazine is not what we need to strive for? We can acknowledge that she is physically attractive without pretending that this magazine cover/spread is anything but a money grabbing and pandering attention getter (like literally ANY magazine cover).

You know what makes me mad? I used to work at Pizza hut and everyday we would have to throw away perfectly good pizza or potato wedges or garlic bread in the bin because it was the wrong order or the customer had changed their mind. They made us bin the whole thing. We weren’t allowed to put it aside to eat from or take it home (we all earned minimum wage so it’s not like we culd afford pizza that expensive a lot). But what makes me even madder is that they could easily give that to the homeless or poor. Like, if a homeless person came into the store, we could have easily given him one of the 20 or so pizzas that we would be binning every single day anyway. Imagine all the pizza hut stores in the world. Imagine each and every one throwing away on average 20 pizzas a day. Imagine how many people that would feed. Fuck corporations man.

One of the most useful myths to supporting rape culture - I think - is the notion that men are simply confused about what consent means. Mainstream feminism has spent so much time finding different ways to explain consent, giving endless examples on what a “no” can look like and what doesn’t constitute consent but like. It’s all so ridiculous because it’s operating on the basis that it’s difficult to figure out if your partner is consenting. Which it’s not. And then rapists use the definitions of consent and the whole convo around consent to manipulate circumstances where the issue isn’t that they raped someone the issue is that it “wasn’t clear” that consent wasn’t given.
We have to stop infantilising men especially like I promise you your boyfriend can tell if you aren’t into the sex. It’s whether he cares or not. The guy at the club trying to fondle you knows you don’t like it. He doesn’t care.
I’m SO tired of the be all end all convo about rape being on consent. Its not a difficult concept to grasp and a lack of understanding consent is not why rape occurs.

She wasn't killed because she was asexual. She was killed for not bending to the will of an entitled man.
Being female and turning down sexual/romantic advances isn't an experience exclusive to asexual women.
An incel gamer who calls himself a nice guy, decapitated a 17 year old girl “who wouldn’t give him a chance” after she went on a date with another guy.

hell yeah im “cis”
c - clever
i - while it is important to have a word that means “not trans”, the idea that women “identify as their gender assigned at birth” is false and misogynist. the gender (sex role) that female people are subjected to is oppressive. saying that women “identify as” someone who deserves to be treated the way women are is insultingly sexist and victim blaming.
s - sexy
