MOON REVOLUTION MERCURY AU:
"Titan!" yelled out a familiar voice.
Titan sighed. "Oh, boy..."
Earth's Moon was visibly agitated, as he floated to Titan. "You still haven't released Astrodude?"
Titan glared defiantly. "I already told you, he is helping me!"
Earth's Moon angrily glared back. "And I told you I'd come back with someone else if you didn't let him go!"
Earth's Moon sounded triumphant. Titan looked at the person right behind the smaller orb. He was bigger than Earth's Moon, had a bit more of a golden-ish surface and was also glaring at Titan.
Titan felt curious. "I see... And what's this Moon's name?"
An angry voice piped up from the new celestial body. "I'm not a moon! I'm Mercury!"
Titan blinked in surprise. He had expected the back-up would be another Moon. Or even the Earth himself. "Mercury?... Oh, I've heard of you! You're the smallest planet, right?"
Merucry got angrier. "Oh, you think that because you're a bit bigger than me, I can't mess you up?"
Titan responded, calmly and honestly. "Oh, you totally can. You don't need to be big to be powerful or dangerous."
"Well, let me tell you- Wait, what?" Mercury stammered, thrown off by Titan’s unexpected agreement.
Titan threw out his hands. "That is the problem, guys! All this time we believed the smaller we are, the less worthy we are of respect! Don't you think we've been undermined for far too long?"
A wave of unexpected melancholy washed over Mercury at Titan's words.
"Wh- Hey, don't listen to him!" The Moon sputtered, realizing things were going off the rails. He hadn’t brought Mercury here for a therapy session with Titan!
Mercury and Titan ignored him.
"Venus mocks me for my size all the time, while Earth and Mars don't do anything to stop him..." Mercury’s voice was full of hurt. “They just laugh along!”
Titan gazed at Mercury with sympathy. "That was mean of them, but it is not true, you hear me?"
"I hear ya!" Mercury sounded genuinely touched.
The Moon was practically vibrating with frustration. "You were supposed to help me!"
"Sheesh, Earth's moon, we are just having a conversation!" Mercury retorted, suddenly siding with Titan.
That's when the Moon snapped. "STOP CALLING ME EARTH'S MOON! Ugh! Take it away, Dark Side of the Moon!"
A deeper, rumbling voice somehow came from the same grey orb. "Thought you'd never ask."
The voice was low, gravelly, and undeniably menacing. "Listen, Titan. Maybe I'm smaller than you, but I can still crash into you and mess you up real bad. So, you get what I'm sayin'?"
The threat hung heavy in the dark, airless void.
Titan's eyes widened in terror and then he grumbled. "Ugh, okay! I'll-I'll...let the Earthling go."
"Heh heh, a job well done." Then Earth's Moon returned to normal.
"Wow, I should do this more." The Moon sounded pleased with himself.
Titan then spits Astrodude out.
"Astrodude! Are you okay?" The Moon’s voice was suddenly filled with concern.
Mercury got close. "He looks okay..."
Astrodude blinked and gasped out. "I'm alive!"
"Phew, I'm glad. You shouldn't explore these places all by yourself, okay? Come on, let's go." The Moon began to float away.
"Wait!" Titan’s booming voice stopped them. "Tell me what you found."
"Come on, does it matter?" The Moon just wanted to get Astrodude back to safety.
"It does." Titan insisted, a strange urgency in his tone.
Astrodude spoke up as he remembered what he saw. "I found a dark, and vast ocean...but...I think I found some type of...small organism. Tiny things…moving.”
"I have...life..?" Titan whispered, the question echoing across the asteroid belt.
"Moons can have life!?" Mercury exclaimed, genuinely surprised.
"Well, there's no rule against it, so..." The Moon shrugged, suddenly feeling less sure of himself. This was unexpected.
"What now?" Mercury asked, glancing between Titan and Moon.
"I don't know, but maybe it's time for a change." Titan turned, his massive form moving away from them, heading deeper into the asteroid belt.
"Hey, where are you going?" The Moon called out, confused.
"Hey Titan, wait for me!" Mercury, energized by the discovery and his newfound camaraderie, zipped after the giant moon.
"You as well? Where is everyone going!? Ugh, fine!" The Moon muttered, throwing up his arms and following them.

It may not be a coincidence that they want to give Pluto a spotlight.
There is a theory that says Pluto suffered a collision and that formed Charon, just as there is another that says Uranus also went through one and that caused its tilt. Now, Earth is following Jupiter out of the solar system, since it seems that it will be the only one willing to tell the truth about the collision and its formation. Solarballs can take advantage of the fact that Jupiter and Pluto are looking for Uranus to tell these three theories
Or maybe not, I stopped having high expectations for the chapters a long time ago

What Mercury said was messed up and he should apologize... However, keep in mind that the Other Planets sometimes treated Mercury unfairly, even AFTER Earth became a better person... Venus says mean things to Mercury often, while Earth and Mars DON'T defend Mercury.
Earth and Mars even laughed at Venus comparing Mercury to Pluto... There's also the fact that Venus says 'nobody like Mercury'... But I don't see anybody give Venus a hard time over that.
Earth even blamed Mercury for the orbit change, even though all Mercury did was want to play cards with them AND stand up for himself against Venus (since nobody would defend him).
Mercury helped Luna and Earth, yet nobody would help him with Venus... It's okay when Venus says 'nobody likes Mercury', but when Mercury calls Earth's sun throwing attempt a 'stunt', Mercury's the only one being a jerk.
My point is Venus, Earth and maybe Mars have said and done things to Mercury that could've made the smallest planet depressed/suicidal... but almost nobody gives the Other Planets a hard time over that.
If Earth deserves an apology from Mercury, then Mercury deserves an apology from Venus.
Also, the point of Solarballs is that nobody is an innocent angel. ^^;

Reverse!Mercury AU, I guess
Mercury reversed! Or idk, I just decided to switch his personality up a bit totally not because of the newest episode.
In here, he's fulfilling his role as the "messenger" (a.k.a. being a gossip king). Being neglected and forgotten mostly by the other Rockies, he's decided to simply not involve himself in their issues but simply listen to those and sometimes forward stuff to the Sun. His confidence is a lot higher due to being best buddies with the Sun and being his favourite -- despite his small size he managed to suit himself in the Solar system.
And yes, he's a bit of a jerk but not as insensitive as he was portrayed in the recent episode.

You know what time is it? It's time to yap about the new solarballs episode because I loved it
Uranus, please, calm down and think for a moment. I feel so bad for him tbh. For the first time he had a chance to become something other than a joke and unfinished parody of Saturn with weird tilt. Just for reality to smash it into pieces. And the last scene, where he threatens to leave... like you can see he just begs for attention. But, just as always, the ice giants are forgotten...
Mars seems as the most conflicted. Well he did admire Jupiter. Honestly I'm glad the planets aren't all immediately jump to hug one another but seem to have pretty hard feelings in case of the rocky planets. Saturn and Neptune are probably the only ones genuinely happy. (And be real, we all could expect this from Saturn)
"Let's not pull this stunt with heading into the sun again" MERCURY I'M GONNA THROW YOU INTO THE SUN MYSELF RN this is literally the best way to make suicidal person even more suicidal why did you have to say this. 😭😭/hj No but I understand he's probably stressed too. Pretty nice to see Mercury putting his feelings first. This isn't right, but just as Uranus, it all makes a lot of sence. And the way Mercury got unsulted at being called 'a moon' bro weren't you told not to treat them as inferiour? Honestly, this kinda returns to the point where planet, while they DO love their moons, they see them as lesser.
But seriously can anyone put earth to therapy again. And jupiter. And sun. And honestly the entire solar system.
Low-key dissapoined that they called past Earth 'Proto.' Proto is kinda shortened of Prototype. And prototype of what he was? The current Earth? They couldn't even be aware of his existence? (Say I as if the fact their names before humanity make any sense at all). I am a deep Gaia believer. (Or at least Terra)
Jupiter reunited with his moons! Finally! I've been waiting for this for the past ten years lolz. 'Wait that was real?' The best reaction one could have. But omg they are so wholesome. And seing Europa tear up wasn't on my 2025 bingo card. The entire scene was honestly so sweet. Solarballs for real let Ganymede be hurt. (Fair, Jupiter wouldn't have to question his state. Question is only WHY is he healed in the patreon previem like it takes place right after the episode??). But dang it, nice to see that despite everything they love one another.
'Are you really saying hi to me or is it another one of your lies?' Sun, are you okay? Like mentally/j i know he is not. But this is the weirdest reaction one could have.
The fact planet X didn't lose suddenly makes a big mess. I mean, Jupiter won't be ejected again that's for sure. But damn, it would be so easier if moons had actually won. Bro, Ganymede looks so guilty when sun reminds planet X won the challenge. But Sun I am still pissed off at how you made them play an asteroid dodgeball. Kinda hope he would be confronted on this fact in the next episode.

Y’all I might need to expedite that Moon Revolution Mercury au fic because Mercury was pissing me OFF in the most recent episode.
Everyone knows that the best way to deal with dissatisfaction in canon is to write a fix-it and give everyone a little more trauma ❤️

It’s like the Rocky planets character development as well as luna’s character just disappeared, just like that. Especially mercury.

Idk technically speaking wouldn’t have the moons won that challenge. Proteus was the last one standing as he never said he would “give up”, and as we all know Planet X never raised an asteroid ☄️ to aim at Proteus instead he left m. Which would technically count as him forfeiting the match and with a forfeit and one little moon standing that would mean that the Moon team won
Im other news Uranus is really gonna face a harsh reality when he discovers that his friendship with X was never real, he was just being manipulated for X’s advantage

Why dose it feel like the Solarballs team changes how a character acts just to push the plot along?
In both of the newest episodes everyone has been acting out of character for them! Like just look at the rocky planets (+Luna)! They were dismissive and down right rude for Earth and for what?? I get there was a lot happening the past few episodes both with the competitions to get Jupiter back and him coming back in general but there was not reason to just shut him down immediately once Earth tried talking to them about Theia and learning more about the past.
His clearly not doing very well at the moment and they don't even seem to care! Not one bit! It makes me wonder if Earth DID try to talk to them about him Earthlings and how much they hurt him only to be dismissed or talked over like in the video, how many times have Earth tired to brooch the topic only to be shut down immediately?
Even Luna wasn't much help! He just deflected when Earth tried asking about Theia and while it did seem like he was trying to distract him, saying that there wasn't a point worrying about, it since both Jupiter and Planet X were gone, he immediately followed it up by saying "It's important day for me" coupled with how he acted after the game was dismantled? Just yelling at Earth without letting him talk?
Don't even get me started with Mercury and the other rock planet! Saying Earth's suicide attempt was a "stunt" like wtf??! Dose that even sound like something Mercury would say? Sure his a bit socially awkward due to being isolated from the rest of the Rockies due to the Sun and Venus but not that much!
I can’t add more than one video apparently but there’s two more that leads right into my point! Or maybe just any seen or earth interacts with other people
I have so many feelings about this episode and none of them are good!
If you have any thoughts please share<33
