I recently found some things about the grey’s anatomy characters from the original pilot called ‘surgeons’ so here’s a description of MAGIC’s lockers!
Note: Alex’s character isn’t in the original script
Meredith - “Meredith is us at our secret best and worst — disorganized, funny, at times insecure, at times a warrior, at times too mortified to face the world. The kind of woman whose hospital locker is overflowing with junk but only because she’s got the best of intentions. She’s got stacks of old birthday cards that she was planning to mail but never got around to, six pagers because she’s always losing then finding them, three alarm clocks because she’s terrified of oversleeping during her breaks, a blank journal she’s been meaning to write in, cigarettes she’s going to stop smoking any day now.”
George - “George’s locker is pretty empty — he keeps planning to put up photos and bring a change of clothes but never remembers to bring these items from home until he’s parking his car at the hospital. What’s in there comes from fear — med journals, old text books and class notes, diagrams of surgeries.”
Izzie - “Izzie’s locker is all about keeping herself in the game as much as possible — two pairs of comfortable nurse shoes, a sound machine to help her sleep, anti-nausea wrist bands that keep her chances of humiliating herself by vomiting or fainting to a minimum, herbal ‘uppers’ to keep herself awake, and not one thing to make anyone think she cares about how she looks.”
Cristina - “Cristina’s locker is the locker of someone who never lets anyone see them sweat — extra toothbrushes, extra change of wrinkle free clothes, extra hair products, a Palm pilot filled with the latest research articles. She is prepared for any eventuality — stain remover, high heels to go out in after work, condoms because you never know.”
That’s all! I have linked the webpage I found it on so you guys can read the original descriptions of the characters!

The reason George ends up failing is probably because of all the times Webber had him doing non-surgical shit. I’ve been in internships where we were made to feel like we had to do things that had nothing to do with social work so I feel for him. And I can’t believe I just realized it on this watch through.
Goddamn Webber starts out as not the most endearing character but he grows into such a wonderful man.
God I miss George so much, not that I would’ve like him being in the military or some shit heh.

Bring the Pain
by Method Man
Tumblr media
Monologue
“Pain comes in all forms. The small twinge, a bit of soreness, the random pain, the normal pains that we live with everyday. Then there’s the kind of pain you can’t ignore. A level of pain so great that it blocks out everything else; makes the rest of your world fade away until all we can think about is how much we hurt. How we manage our pain is up to us. Pain. We anaesthetize, ride it out, embrace it, ignore it… and for some of us, the best way to manage pain is to just push through it. Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breathe deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you when you least expect it, hits way below the belt and doesn’t let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can’t outrun it, and life always makes more.”

i never understand how they interrupt Tessa Hobbes' surgery to tell Meredith that her house (that HOUSE) is on fire?! They don't tell Amelia that Derek has died. They don't tell Cristina that she's working on Henry. There are how many?? surgeries that they don't interrupt w bad news bc it's protocol not to distract the surgeon. But for this one, with two BABY INTERNS, they just waltz in?
baffled.
