So, gentlemen, ladies, bad news about the FanFic.

I upgraded my PC by multiple generations, as well as the rest of my set-up. And then Helldivers drops on XboX, releases a Halo: ODST Collab, as well as announces a new major update that is truly massive.

I'm not even going into the stuff I couldn't play before because my PC was too shitty to run it at all to be enjoyable (Witcher 3, Vermintide 2, and more)

The bigger monitor will let me properly watch shows from the comfort of my bed as well (the previous one was too small for me to see it from there), and my list of To Watch isn't any shorter than it was at the start of the summer, and I'm already invested in The Legend of Vox Machina, something I watch for my friend who insisted it's peak and I HAVE to see myself (he was right btw)

In other words, I'm having too much fun for my own good. Albeit, next week back to school, back to two hours on the bus a day, so I'll definitely start writing there.

I hope you're not too mad at my lazy ass for not doing what I promised to do, but honestly it's not that fun anymore and I gotta find the spark I used to have for Sympathy for the Devil again. Hope you had a summer as good as I did, and see you on the next chapter, when it releases!

How do we tell them?

No, the fanfic isn't dead. I'm on vacation. Gathering intel about Italy on site. Peak research.

Y'all who never wrote a fic don't know how good it feels to get a kudos on Ao3, especially when the first one comes months after starting.

The next chapter is still early in development. I'm focusing on catching up with old friends and media I didn't have time to devour during my school year.

I'm being DEAD serious here guys. Make problematic ocs. I'm telling you. It's so much fun. And easier to get invested in them sometimes because they really STICK OUT in your brain. You fall in love with them.

For help developing problematic ocs try out these two methods

Method one: think of a problematic choice your oc will make. This could be; abandoning their children, killing a sibling, siding with the oppressor whatever. Work backwards from there. What are the implications of someone who would make that decision.

Method two: give them a motivation and work forwards from there. For example; they have the motivation to survive no matter what, they need to be the ruler of their society, they will not go against a specific religious/moral code etc. now make sure every decision they ever make is in line with that and crucially put things in their way that'll make them make fucked up decisions to get what they want.

Now! You have! A fucked up oc! And you will love them! I promise

I've had people absolutely shit on Chief Williams for being her own person and being openly racist towards aliens because of her family's background during the first contact war with the Turians (mass effect franchise, if anyone doesn't know). Just because she's not like the player who's all up for diving head first into the fictional setting and exploring the aliens in it she's simply discarded by many as a "bad character". I'm not saying I approve of "I can't tell some of the aliens from the animals" but you can influence that. You have the power to interact with the character and make a difference.

Thank you for saying this @elcorhamletlive . As a fiction lover, and a fresh out ME1 Mass Effect fan, I appreciate it.

Not to be a bitch but sometimes people engage with fiction in the most boring way possible, and nowhere is this clearer than in videogames. Like what you mean you hate a character just because they were kind of abrasive when speaking to the player character? "They were mean to me" and it didn't occur to you to wonder why? Like, what might their attitude toward you reveal about the world? About the social dynamics within it? About their own perspectives and backgrounds and personalities? Does it even occur you to ask? Would you only have liked them if they bowed to your presence and talked about how great you are? Like I'm sorry but you're so boring. How boring fiction would be if it cathered to you

Part 2 of Chapter 2 is OUT... at last

After the tormenting two and half months of struggle, I am finally, covered in tears, sweat and maybe a little bit of blood, proud to present what has come from my work in the long time.

I know I kept you On Hold for too long, but as compensation, I offer my longest chapter yet, being double of the 3.5k words long Ch.1 6/6. I spent AGES trying to make the descriptions of the Archangels as (over)detailed and accurate to the designs @kaledya created for them over a year ago (with a two exceptions being Raphael and Jophiel, since I havent found any finalised full body drawings, so I played around with the themes a little bit more)

I have locked the fuck in tonight. I spent 4 hours straight writing and correcting the whole chapter, and realizing that after keeping y'all on hold for 2 months and half, I made something that I'm finally rather satisfied and actually kinda happy about, while making it more than double the length of the previous record of mine.

I decided to go and sleep, saving the final as a draft to post tomorrow when I wake up.

I hope you'll all enjoy it after staying in the dark for so long, that you'll excuse me having to focus on my finals and especially that I didn't write much even after they were over.

Turns out buying Mass Effect was a bad idea

It's too good for my own good. I had it for 6 hours and I'm already so down with the story. The last time this happened was when I got Halo.

I guess it's the Keith David jumpscares that do this to me.

So I decided to re-read the whole latest chapter (that was released like 2 months ago already and not a word of update from me since. Whoops!) and holy shit, the typos were horrendous.

I see why nobody wants to read it, lol. So I sat down and made corrections and edits to the ones I found and re-released the chapter.

Yes, the next one is practically finished, but this time I ain´t rushing the release like last time. No more stupid typos and escapees from the last editing! Never again.
