When I was younger, I had a "friend" that I adored and cheered for as if they were a sibling of mine, but after almost 10 years of friendship with them, I discovered they talked bad about myself (saying that when I talked about my interests I was being annoying etc, even when they talked about their interests I showed the utmost interest in listening and learning about it so I could talk about it with them too) and even after that I stayed friends with them for a while before moving from where I lived before!!
