another redraw guys!! the first time i drew this was in 2012! then again in 2014.  Well here we are in 2020! im missing a few redraws of it (2016 and 2018, respectively) but those are lost to time!

this is a redraw of an old school project i did where i had to take an existing fantasy franchise and make a game out of it! so i chose to make lord of the rings a dating sim!

i didnt want this to get too cluttered so here were some interesting things i came up with for this concept! presumably, you’d play as frodo.

-if you made it to a good end with any of the characters, gandalf would officiate your marriage at the end! 

-certain conflicts may arise during your proposal as gollum tries to take your precious away! 

-to begin your adventure, you'd have to decide where you want to go and based on that, you could begin courtship with different characters. for example, you’d find samwise in the shire!

-each character has a meme-y cheese-y, maybe out-of-character, pick up line:

• “i am no man”

• “do you have a moment for second breakfast?” 

• “i’ll take you to isengard” 

they also each had good ends and bad ends!! 

for example a good end with samwise might look like:

“i made a promise, frodo.”

 “i CAN carry you.” 

and a bad end in bag end?? well, you'd have to see for yourself.

i may have gone through like two accounts since I first started following long exposure shortly after it started- but make no mistake! i am still very in love with it. So I’ve gotta thank mars soooooo much for serving as some big inspiration for me as someone who wants to do webcomics! congrats on the completion, mars! cannot wait to read ride or die~
