Also this rise of tumblr users determined to call all gofundme’s a scam over the smallest details is so telling of the average person’s ability to have empathy and understand the lengths a person will go to to help their family survive. Yes, Gazans are making multiple accounts, they are sending asks relentlessly, they are copying templates/formats text posts from each other, they are giving extreme and explicit details of their suffering, they are using google translate to try to reach as many people as possible, but wouldn’t you do the same if it was your family you needed for raise money for survival for? How can you not understand where they’re coming from before jumping to calling them scammers?

Before the war, 7 -year-old Sewar dreamed of becoming a doctor to treat people and alleviate their pain. Sewar is a kind, active, intelligent and diligent girl in her studies.

But the devastating war on the Gaza Strip deprived her of achieving her dream and turned from a diligent girl in her studies and trying to be a doctor in the future into a girl trying hard to survive the violent bombing, displacement and tragedies.

Every day, Sewar and her two brothers, Abdul Aziz and Omar, begin a bitter journey to get water and food, collect firewood for cooking and help their father and mother secure the necessities of life.

The lives of the three children, Sewar, Abdul Aziz and Omar, have been turned upside down. They were kind and innocent children who went to school every morning with enthusiasm.

Please help us arrange the costs of food, water and medicine for the children and their sick grandmother.

Please help us leave the Gaza Strip to a safer country to start a new and better life

Another fundraiser I trust!

Oday and his family, including his 7 year old sister, witnessed the unspeakable. His sister's husband's family was bombed in their tent, and they witnessed the bodies torn apart when they went to rescue possible survivors. The shock overtook him completely. I don't think any one of us could survive such a sight, finding our family members torn to pieces by the world's apathy and complicity.
