hey everyone it’s rosaiika !! recently i haven’t been super happy with my content and my blog and decided that a fresh start would be the best thing for me to do. at first i was just going to stay on hiatus for a while but i suddenly got hit by a wave of inspiration hehe

my name is mary and i’m canadian french. i’m very soon gonna be 16 (on august 1 :o) and i’ve been on simblr for more than a year now ! i mostly do edits since my computer literally hates me and my sims are maxis mix.

hiatus

search (ctrl+F) for the term “destination”. you’ll probably find either a direct filesharing link (dropbox, mediafire, etc) or a redirect link from a link shortener or something. whatever the case, that link WON’T be total bullshit. i mean, maybe mildly bullshit if they do that “three different chained links that are all behind ads” shit, but it’ll skip the “ALLOW” nonsense.

something that boggles my mind about creators STILL using adfly despite most of the community being against it is that it shows that they either don’t have the self awareness to think about the children that click on their dl links, or they just don’t care? like yes a lot of the adults and older teens and people who have been online for a while know not to click on sketchy links, to have adblock installed, etc but young children probably don’t know that.

i started playing the sims when i was like 5 years old, and i didnt know SHIT about online security back then. i didn’t know shit about online security until i was at least 12, and i played the sims that whole time! if i knew about cc back then (which essentially in a kid’s head, is just stuff that Makes Your Game Pretty) i would’ve gone ham online downloading everything i could find! and i probably would’ve clicked on suspicious adfly links! and i probably would’ve done some serious harm to my family computer, or been exposed to nsfw content that kids really should not be exposed to!

yes there should be options to enable people to support your work, if that’s what you want! a lot of work goes into making cc and mods and if people want to support you they should be given the option to do so. but there are better and safer options that don’t put people at risk, like ko-fi, patreon, or even a paypal donate button.
