More Obvious Occults Mod!

Maybe it's just me, but I'm always forgetting which colour represents which occult in the relationship panel, so I did myself a solid and added in icons for each occult.

Fangs = Vampire Wand = Witch Wings = Fairy Crescent = Werewolf

Only the occults from the Supernatural pack have icons - the rest never had unique border colours, I guess EA forgot about them.

"Hi everyone! I quite like the Eyes Aside Curtains (Blinds) provided by EA in the base game but I don't like how it completely blocks out the sunlight all the time. So I decided to make day/night changing blinds! About This Content These blinds are the same as the Eyes Aside Curtains from the base game - except they take on a different shape during the day (6AM - 6PM) and are closed only at night (6PM - 6AM). There are two objects contained in the .zip-file with different behaviours for the day period:

The blinds are fully raised ("fully_open_blinds_automatic")

The blinds are tilted ("half_open_blinds_automatic")

TS3 - 3 STBL Renamed Mods "Asian" --> "Chinese", "Endowments" --> "Breasts", "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

These 3 STBL Renamed Mods are separated, so you can choose 1 / 2 / all 3 of them. All these mods were tested and working well with each other Mods and with my previous STBL Renamed Mods in Spring Rolls and Mooncake Machine Maker.

I wondered why nobody made these renamed mods for almost 16 years since The Sims has been released from year 2009, therefore I finally made these mods by my own.

1. "Asian" --> "Chinese"

Reason why I made the change:

"Asian" term is too broad. Asia is one big continent, consists of 48 countries. Southeast Asians, South Asians, Western Asians do not eat using chopsticks and do not have traditional architecture like East Asians. East Asians themselves such as Japan and Korea have different culture and architecture from China. If the developer of this game wanted to point one country, Shang Simla, then it should be China / Chinese only. It is like calling Champs Les Sims "European" and Al Simhara "African". Champs Les Sims is called "French" and Al Simhara "Egyptian", why Shang Simla is called "Asian", not "Chinese" instead?

This mod changed the name of Asian in Game Tip, Trait, Tourist, object name of building items such as bridge and rocks that you can find in CAW (Create-A-World) for building World, but I cannot run the application. Please check the name change if you can run CAW application.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean only.

To be honest I am tired. If you wanted to translate to your language, you can do it by open this .package file on EasySTBLManager by (†) CmarNYC, click "Copy to Missing" > Edit to your language> Save the .package. > Open .package in s3pe > Delete unnecessary language strings if you want.

2. "Endowments" --> "Breasts"

Reason why I made the change:

This text keeps appearing many times on loading screen, so I had to change the word because the word "Endowments" itself is too forced, to censor the name of adult female human body part, in this video game with Teen Rating. Breasts are scientifically & biologically correct term to call upper part of female human body made of fat with mammary glands to give milk to her baby, and they are not genitalia. As they started to develop since young girls were pre-teen, which are the target demographic of The Sims game itself, and adult women themselves wanting to adjust both their own real life breasts and their Sims' breasts, so nothing sexual or taboo here.

Languages: All Languages. (Using online translator, feel free to comment to correct if there was wrong translation).

3. "Goopy Carbonara" ---> "Carbonara"

Reason why I made the change:

I know that "Goopy" name was from Goopy Gilscarbo from The Sims 2 character. But for me, as I have been playing The Sims 3 since the base game released in year 2009, I wanted the name of food was just like in real life. That's it. No Goopy. Just "Carbonara".

The Traditional Chinese language version did not translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara", but instead other food pasta menu and it was incorrect. 醬料通心粉 (Macaroni with sauce) --> 卡邦尼意粉 (Carbonara) While the Japanese translation it was translated directly to "Goopy Carbonara" in katakana, I deleted the グーピー word.

Languages are in English, Chinese, Japanese only.

Known issues: ⚠️ These mods may not be compatible with other STBL renamed mods made by other Modders due to accidental same instance code used by other Modders that can make other Rename mods you installed before this mod will revert back to original word.

i scoured the gallery and found some really cool arm and leg prosthetic tattoos there, tried them all, and i'm here to recommend them to you.

not only there are significantly more options now for us to use now, because there isn't a lot of prosthetic cc out there to start with, but these are also accessible for no cc and console players, so yay!

Better Argue Anims

For an unknown reason, Maxis used 'agree' talk anims for the argue interaction. Especially weird as it always causes a relationship hit. In my book, that's the opposite of agreeing.

This mod replaces the argue anims with ones that look, well, arguing. No more enthusiastic smiling while being rampaged at.

Had some fun with Reshade in Sims 2

So I'm deciding to share it! Introducing...

CinemaSim2 Reshade Presets

The Game already looks great with radiance lighting (I'm still developing my own version of it, currently on evening lighting), but I decided to throw in reshade in the mix, and the game is looking gorgeous!

UI is still affected because sims 2 (unlike sims 3 and 4) cannot exclude UI from the Reshade shader influence, however I've tried to keep the readability of the UI as intact as possible.

Prerequisites:

Any working Reshade version (this is tested on 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4).

Specific 6.2 Reshade Shader files, it won't work correctly without these (you can also get them here).

I've made multiple presets, each much more complex than the previous. Get them from the list below.

Regular Presets included are:

Very Low

Low

Medium

High

Very high

Experimental (significant FPS drop for minor, and sometimes buggy features) Presets included are:

Ultra (includes some edge value based reflections).

Extreme (includes depth angle based Screen Space Reflections).

What is included in these presets:

AO, multiple layers of these (some are disabled on lower end presets).

DOF, for close and far distances (disabled on lower end presets).

Chromatic Abberation, for some added realistic camera lense effect, not too distracting, very delicate.

HDR, and balanced Bloom in one single technique, so that lights, emission shaders and scene colors can POP, adds glow to really bright spots. (disabled on Very Low preset).

Bump Map effect based on texture contrast (disabled on lower end presets).

Reflective Bump mapping which adds reflections to the edges of the objects affected by the bump map (disabled on all presets except for experimental ones).

SSR with 'raytracing' (yes, it actually looks like planar reflections and reflects everything, even moving objects, albeit it's not really accurate at all, but looks cool). (disabled on all presets, except for Extreme one).

Adaptation techniques to always keep values in check (never too bright or too dark. Some are disabled on Very Low preset).

Distance Fog techniques to make the world feel more real, closer to sims 3/4.

I'm sure this has been done before, but I went ahead and took off the lipstick from the Mrs. Claus facepaint so I had a cute freckly blush, and made a few recolors to go with it. I was gonna take some in game photos but my sim posing skills are kinda lacking, so here are some body shop swatches.

I added these to both the face paint category and the makeup category. You can have both in game with no issues - you can even stack them and make some pretty new colors!!

Sims Need Driving Lessons

I've always wondered how different things would be if sims couldn't automatically drive when they aged into YAs... so I decided to change that.

This mod requires Lazy Duchess' MonoPatcher & Generations EP. and will conflict with any mod that edits the EA 'Can Drive' bool. As far as I know, no mods do so, since without the MonoPatcher it would be a core edit.

All sims (except the usual service NPCs) now can only drive once they have reached the max. level of driving skill.

Interactions:

Sims can get lessons at the school rabbithole.

If they are level -1 or 0, sims can first do their theory test which will increase driving skill to level 1.

Once they are level 2 in driving, they can do their driving test which, if passed, will automatically max out their driving skill.

Tuning:

kCanFailTest: true. If sims are trait* or buff** positive, they have a chance to fail their driving test.

kPriceOfTheory: 15 simoleons.

kPriceOfLessons: 75 simoleons.

kPriceOfTest: 200 simoleons.

kLengthOfTheoryTest: 45 mins

kLengthOfLessons: 90 mins

kLengthOfTest: 60 mins.
