what do snakes and stars symbolize for you (trying to better understand your art)

I have no idea!! let us dissect this together <3

I've been obsessed with drawing snakes since 2023, I went through quite a bit of grief through this time and just found myself enjoying making random snake-like shapes, all the twirly swirly spiral-looking shapes. Incredibly therapeutic, not much thought, just pretty colours and fun shapes.

As for symbolism... if I were to psychoanalyze, I'd say religious upbringing has probably instilled some implication to snakes in my brain (snake = sin = evil, etc) and so going through grief, drawing out these 'sinful' creatures, I think there's probably something there,,,, for why I really hooked onto them... but I will not think about that too hard

As for stars, same sort of thing, I love the simple shapes you can make. I love mindlessly doodling stars on sides of paper. And as I've been working on my album for the past (3 YEARS???? FUCK) I've been creating these little star people as like,,, inhabitants of this 'world' (album) that I use to tell the stories of the songs in my head
