"You swear what? Go on and finish your sentence there Kai. I'd love to hear more about it," Fay teased as they moved their legs to a more comfortable position in the driver's seat. "I ordered the same thing you ordered on my phone the other week. So if it was forgotten, you did it to yourself-" They grabbed the chopsticks and gestured slightly to Kaiya and then broke the chopsticks down the middle as they were supposed to be. "Best be fueled up to catch a cheater, you know."

The roll of Fay's eyes told the brunette everything she needed to know. Spending time hiding from the Yakuza taught her to read people enough, even if she were awkward and shy at times. "Chopsticks, Fay." Dangling the items before them, she wiggled the utensils playfully. "If you dare drop the sashimi again, I swear..." A small giggle tumbled from her mouth, expressing how delighted she was in the other's presence. "And you better have chosen some ika for me. Else it might cost you..." A sentence Kaiya didn't dare finish, allowing anticipation to invade the atmosphere.

"i can see that!" they shot back with an immediate gasp. it was something playful and dramatic. something to break the tension of spying on their partner in what could be a cheating scandal. the pull back to the reality though had fay sighing along with steph. "not sure, but i'm going to keep around until i'm absolutely sure. those messages were beyond suspicious and they texted about tonight. there's something to it, i know that."

she'd already dug in before fay could even try. she laughed and tried to chew at the same time before covering her mouth, "i'm sorry! i told you i was fuckin' starving." she smiled once she'd swallowed and ran her fingers through her hair. a sigh escaped her and she sat back against the seat. "so...i don't think we're gonna get shit from this tonight. she's clearly not leaving. do you think someone's gonna come over?" she asked, looking over at the other woman. "this is your girlfriend. you know her better than i do."

Fay rolled their eyes, big and over the top, but that didn't stop the smile from forming on their face. An action that Kaiya could draw from them often enough that Fay couldn't really deny it. Not without sounding like some sort of brat. "Bold claims. And even if they were right, there's no way that applies to you taking my food as well."

Eager as always, sushi was Kaiya's favorite meal. Fond memories flooded her mind from back home each time the delectable food was presented before herself. Gently pushing the plate of sushi with her index fingers back towards Fay, Kaiya gave her a sheepish grin. This stakeout had been a bust so far and so many other activities could have livened up the night. "Ohh, please. You love it when I take charge." She bantered, tone light.

The look that the crystal shop owner leveled at one of their long time customers was complex. Even without seeing their own features, they could tell that. Because this was a complex scenario Bellamy had been pushed into. "Was told to give this to you. I...I don't think it's going to be a good thing on the inside," Bellamy handed the other the note left behind for them. Others might have tried to weaken the blow of what was inside of the note, but that just wasn't Bellamy. Especially when made to get in the middle of this drama.
