i have been debating this for a while, and decided that now i'm going to do it.

for those that have seen my recent asks—i explained why i started making bots. it was because i adored writing, and the idea of making janitor ai bots was, to me, like making up little fanfics for people to interact with and enjoy, without actually making a set in stone scenario. people could do whatever they wanted, and all i had to do was make an introduction.

for a long time, i loved doing that. i made many final fantasy bots on c.ai, and it was great. then i got into making re bots and loved that (and so did all of you, apparently.)

but in the past few months, i have been getting heavily involved in writing fics again. and i've been loving it a lot—creating these stories in my head and drafting out chapter after chapter, posting it to my ao3 page (with snippets on my side blog) and, whilst not getting the same kind of love that i may get on my bots (as my fics are a lot more exclusive with an OC rather than a reader-centric fic) i don't mind that, because it's fun to write.

so, after much deliberating, i have decided that i am going on a permanent hiatus. if you wish to keep up with my writing, you can find me on ao3

or, alternatively, i have my writing blog, @kennedyslvr where i post snippets of my fic updates, as well as random stuff too. any ideas that i had for bots, i might end up turning into oneshots one day, but as of right now—i am focusing on fics.

i am keeping this account purely because i'm an idiot who linked both my main and side blog under one email and don't wanna lose all my progress on my side blog, but consider it properly closed.

hi fanfic person asker from before

dont take this as insulting or whatever cos i do understand it DOES take creativity to come up w these prompts but ai is reaching a pivot point where its becoming worse and worse for the environment , as well as worse and worse to participants mental health because so many people just rely on ai for social connections

your writing seems really great and id love to see more of it however i dont really want to use ai just to see what you can do fully :-)

i think people would understand if u changed courses (esp w/ reason listed, but ur own reasons can be just as valid)

anyway hope im not imposing, id love to be supportive if you swapped over to fanfiction ^^

ur not imposing at all! i honestly do understand that ai is very harmful for the environment, and i also get that ai is bad for mental health too (honestly i was completely addicted back in the day, and now i kind of just use janitor for a creative outlet when i have a block for writing ff)

if you are interested in reading my ff (i post regularly on my side blog @kennedyslvr ) my AO3 page is here in which i very regularly update my ff and plan to write even more soon. i may even start turning the prompts i have for future bots into ffs, i'm not sure.

as for making bots.. eh. i still love making them, but im not pumping out as many as i used to do. ik i shouldn't be making any at all, but im too inverted and a little scared to stop because i fear people wont follow my writing (since most of the time its self insert)

why dont you just write fics instead of using ai

to be honest, i started using ai and making bots two years ago now because i really wanted to write. making bots gave me that creative boost for writing (at least in crafting intros and responses and fuelling ideas)

but now i'm kinda stuck. i've made a whole lot of bots, and planned out a lot more, and i feel kinda.. obligated to finish it? idk. i spent so long building up my rep and brand as a bot maker that the pivot kinda.. scares me? makes me feel like an ass because i feel like i will lose an audience?

idk. i still do love making bots, i like crafting my bots to be like fics for you guys. my fics are still there if you wanna enjoy my writing of course (even tho the chars are set in stone and, lbr, the main lead is basically me) but like...

ugh idk. i'm answering this after just waking up n my heads all jumbled. sorry :/

very slow dropping these ones, i'm sorry. i have been pretty into writing fic recently, so that has taken up most of my creative juices.

tbh.. idk if i rly enjoy making bots anymore. like i LOVE to write them, but going thru the chatting process with them is just getting kinda repetitive (especially with smut) because the llm just.. gets WAY too intense and i have read the same damn lines over and over and it is irritating tbh. i miss the older janitor where smut bots weren't so damn intense.

anyways. i am gonna keep doing bots, just.. ngl yall my patience is wearing thin. if i ever go dark one day, just know im not gonna stop writing, i just do it on ao3.
