Whizzer Brown was probably the most stable parental figure to Jason, considering 2/3 of his dads are either hitting their ex-wife (oops!) or telling their son to just not. Feel bad. (But mendel and jason's dynamic after that WAS kinda good.) But because of that, Jason's only parental figure he could look up to whizzer. As seen in

Everyone DOES tell Jason to see a psychiatrist, but only WHIZZER convinces him to. He even explicitly asks for Whizzer to come.

Despite, Jason's previous concerns being girls at his bar mitzvah, right now, his main concern is Whizzer. He even holds his bar mitzvah in Whizzer's room, so Whizzer could join in and watch at the FINAL MOMENTS of his life. His last words were literally to Jason saying, " Thank You. ". Jason's speech also contained this.

AND THE WORST PART IS. If the aids crisis didnt happen, Whizzer wouldnt have died, as act 2 (Falsettoland) was written during the aids crisis.

Whizzer and Marvin had a conflicted dynamic, marked by constant arguments in which both fought to be right. This tension, combined with their mutual desire to possess one another, their lust, and a love they couldn't understand or express, led them to fight and then reconcile through sex. Marvin was wounded when Whizzer made him feel like he was only valued for sex and money—especially when Whizzer got involved with other men. On the other hand, Whizzer felt reduced to a role that didn’t belong to him: Marvin treated him like a wife, someone expected to please him and meet his needs. He hurt Whizzer by suggesting his only worth was his looks and by trying to control him at all times.

Their way of reconciling was almost always physical: they believed sex brought them closer, and that through that false sense of love, their relationship might still be saved. But in truth, they were just hiding their feelings behind a mask of passion.

Whizzer doubted Marvin’s love because his actions didn’t match his words. He was afraid to fully surrender, even though he sincerely longed to love Marvin. Marvin, for his part, did love Whizzer, but didn’t know how to show it or how to love him in return. He wanted to be loved, but wasn’t willing to give the same back. He didn’t truly understand what it meant to love.

They desired and needed each other deeply—physically and emotionally—but were trapped in a painful cycle. Whizzer feared getting hurt if he allowed himself to truly love Marvin, while Marvin, blinded by his pride, masculinity, and need for control, didn’t know how to love properly.
