Part of something bigger
Sometimes life just hits you all at once — problems at work, cold weather, endless rain, strange events swirling around. And all the important things, like translating a fanfic, get pushed aside. ⠀ But now I’m back in this story — and it’s such a wonderful feeling. Strange, but comforting. Like coming home to familiar characters, living through their moments once again. It’s real, deep, and almost a forgotten kind of happiness. Pure bliss. ⠀ You remember how you once got frustrated with authors: “Why is the next chapter taking so long?” And now… it feels like you’re standing on the other side. ⠀ You understand what it’s like — fighting against reality when your deadlines fall like dominoes and your estimates slip through your fingers. You know what it’s like — promising yourself you’ll make it… and not making it. ⠀ And with that comes a strange mix of emotions: frustration and gratitude, awkwardness and understanding. Maybe even a sense of connection. ⠀ Sometimes, people just want to be a part of something bigger. Something beautiful. Some kind of international community built on shared stories. ⠀ Sending love to everyone. 🤍 And getting back to translating.

Beyond the First Impression
Started working on the translation of Turmoil by @metalomagnetic. Life got in the way a bit… but that’s not the point.
Here’s a thought I caught myself on.
What’s fascinating about these kinds of stories is how they evolve when you reread them. The first time, they already shine — they captivate, they draw you in. But with each reread, you start noticing the finer details — the subtle cracks, the hidden rough edges — and that’s where the deeper meaning unfolds. These works evoke emotions, pull at your heartstrings, make you think. You want to dive into them again and again, discovering something new every time.
I love this light reflection — when you can observe emotions instead of drowning in them.
I love beautiful language, I love meaning, I love characters. This is beautiful.

I've translated the latest written chapter of "The Taming"…
It's amazing how certain stories touch us. Some you skim through, reading every other line, while others captivate you from the very first pages.
I've read The Taming twice just for myself… and at least four more times (probably more) while translating it. And yet, it still fills me with warmth and tenderness toward the characters, makes me smile, empathize, and worry about their future.
Now, all that’s left is to wait for amazing @slytherinbretherin to write the next chapter — and I’ll be more than happy to continue translating. ✨
P.S. I started translating on January 25, and in that time, the fanfic has gained 105 likes on ficbook.net. I don’t know whether that’s a lot or not for a month… but does it really matter? What truly matters is that, nowadays, we can be part of an amazing community and stay connected with incredibly talented and creative people. And that is priceless. 💫

I rarely post on social media.
A long workday is over, the world outside is dark, and white snowdrifts glisten under the cold glow of the streetlights. There’s a certain chill to this evening—distant, frozen—but maybe that’s what makes the warmth of home feel even more precious.
And in moments like these, there’s nothing better than a hot cup of tea, wrapping yourself in comfort, and sitting down at the keyboard, caught in a fleeting spark of creativity.
I have plans for this year.
I rarely post, but maybe it’s time to change that.
