A Samovar Postcard
This is another message and a photo for you that I won’t send anywhere — just fold into a box.
Hot tea smelling of pinecones. Snow creaking underfoot. Cold and icy air clearing the mind. And you’re left with one thought: “I have myself. And that’s enough.”

dear wednesday,
a postcard from afar found its way into my hands today—
a delicate fragment of the world,
a quiet whisper from Xinyang, China,
carrying the pulse of an ancient folk tradition, alive in movement, emotion, and ritual.
during the Spring Festival, villagers gather,
each bearing statues that embody their community’s spirit.
they come together in a ritualized contest—
a symbolic challenge where teams express their strength and unity,
a beautiful clash woven from history and heart.
the last statue standing tells a story of victory and resilience.
this moment was captured by Nico, the sender himself—
a frozen breath of energy, color, and culture,
raw and unfiltered.
i’m humbled by the depth and life held in this single frame.

"This Hit Me HARD Over Morning Tea ☕✨"
📖 "Instead of just existing… start EXPERIENCING LIFE." ☕ That one line hit differently today. Not just a quote — it's a checkmate to everything we keep ignoring...
💭 When was the last time you truly lived, not just survived?
🌸 Between coffee, chaos, and chores — we forget… To breathe. To feel. To be present. This photo isn’t aesthetic — it’s a reminder. And the shift I made after seeing this changed everything.
🔥 I wrote it all here — the mindset reset, the real talk: 🔗 https://t.co/Ttddedmvoc
💡 Just read the first few lines. You’ll know exactly what you’ve been missing…
👇 Tap. Read. Reclaim your life. 👇

A Sweet Surprise Over Tea
Today I went out with my husband to his workplace. But instead of following him around, I decided to wander off to a nearby marketplace on my own. I found a cozy little spot and treated myself to a warm cup of tea and a local dessert. The place had such a rich cultural charm — perfect for people-watching and enjoying a quiet moment.
As I sat there, sipping my tea and indulging in the sweet treat, I observed the world around me. Families strolled by, friends laughed together, and children ran around playfully. It reminded me so much of home — my own family and friends back in my hometown. I realized just how much I missed them.
It was such a refreshing change of scenery — so different from my daily view of walls and doorways, walking from room to room inside the house.
Then, a small but unforgettable thing happened.
I thought of calling my father-in-law to invite him for a cup of tea. Just as I was about to dial his number, I looked up and there he was — walking right past me! I couldn’t hold back my excitement. I called out his name with a big smile, and it felt like the little child in me suddenly came alive again. 🤣
I adore my father-in-law. He’s one of the few people who made me feel welcome in this new chapter of life. His warmth and kindness are something I truly cherish.
And yet, behind that smile — life has been teaching me something harder to digest.
No matter how much we try to fit into someone else’s world, some people will always be too caught up in their own. It’s not that we’re not capable of living on our own — we are. But sometimes, we just long for someone to truly be there. For us. Beside us.
When that doesn't happen, when the connection feels one-sided, it hurts. But we learn to accept it — not because it's okay, but because sometimes that's the only way to keep going.
Some choices bring loneliness even in the presence of people. Some distances can’t be measured in miles — but in hearts drifting apart.
And so I sip my tea, watch the world move around me, and tell myself: just enjoy this moment, even if it aches a little. This is life — messy, bittersweet, and constantly teaching us how to breathe through it all.
“You can give your whole heart, but you can’t force someone to hold it with care. Still, give — and grow.”

I rarely post on social media.
A long workday is over, the world outside is dark, and white snowdrifts glisten under the cold glow of the streetlights. There’s a certain chill to this evening—distant, frozen—but maybe that’s what makes the warmth of home feel even more precious.
And in moments like these, there’s nothing better than a hot cup of tea, wrapping yourself in comfort, and sitting down at the keyboard, caught in a fleeting spark of creativity.
I have plans for this year.
I rarely post, but maybe it’s time to change that.

My Cold Tea Ritual 🍋✨
This is my quiet comfort tea — something I drink before bed or on soft, slow mornings. It’s refreshing, grounding, and gentle on the body and mind. I make a fresh batch and keep it in the fridge until it's time to enjoy it.
Here’s how I make it:
---
🍋 My Cold Tea Recipe:
* 800ml water
* 2 or 3 green tea bags
* 1 whole lemon (freshly squeezed)
* 1 teaspoon honey (or to taste)
Brew the green tea, then let it cool, covered, in the fridge.
Once chilled, squeeze in the lemon, stir in honey, and if needed, add a little extra water.
I usually drink it cold, but it can be gently warmed too on slower days.
---
Why I Love It:
Green tea is soothing, rich in antioxidants, and supports a calm focus.
Lemon helps with digestion and clarity.
Honey adds softness — a touch of sweetness for the soul.
But more than that…
this tea is my pause button.
It helps me feel grounded, present, and cozy in my own skin.
It’s not fancy. It’s not trendy.
It’s just mine.
“A small ritual is still a form of magic.”

Monday Feels Like…
Monday feels like cool linen against bare skin,
a sleepy stretch and the weight of the world not yet fully awake.
I rose with the sun — early, quiet.
My dog’s soft steps followed me to the door,
and just outside my window, the birds were already singing.
I stepped out, barefoot, to leave them seeds and water.
They chirped like a promise.
Then came motion —
a morning walk, my dog by my side and my cat trailing quietly behind.
At home, I fed my fish and felt the rhythm of caring for small lives.
A short workout, a warm shower, the scent of skin cream and soap.
Then, headphones in — music playing —
and off I went, carried by the bus into the hum of the world.
At work, I watched the city stir —
mornings buzzing, doors opening,
the clink of cups and quiet conversations in the early light.
Later, I returned home to the little rituals that hold the day together:
checking the mailbox, walking the dog again, folding soft laundry.
I waited for a package with the feeling of childhood —
that giddy pause before unwrapping something unknown.
Before night fell, I walked my dog once more and fed them all —
each of my pets, each tiny heartbeat that shares my space.
Then I brewed my comfort.
It’s the taste of quiet.
The taste of coming back to myself.
---
Now, I’m here —
a book in hand, wrapped in stillness,
letting the day slip off me like silk.
And through it all,
chatting softly with my loved ones through this little glowing device.
Cat sleeping by my head, dog by my feet
Good night, for today 🌙
“Monday doesn’t have to rush. Let it whisper.”
— Tea 🌿
P.S. Tomorrow, I’ll share the little ritual behind the tea I drink in these quiet moments...

The Way Light Fell This Morning
This weekend has been heavy with heat — the kind that makes everything slow down and stretch like honey.
This morning, before the sun climbed too high, I sat outside with a cup of tea while my boyfriend sipped his coffee beside me. We snuggled into the lounge chair in the backyard, the warmth already settling on our skin. A soft breeze stirred the air, carrying the scent of blooming flowers and the quiet rhythm of summer. His dog, Thor, bounced happily through the garden, full of life and sunlight.
The way the light filtered through the trees reminded me of something I once forgot — maybe the feeling of being held by the moment, or the way time pauses when you're simply content.
After we finished our drinks, we visited his grandma — she’d invited us for lunch and lemonade. We sat with his grandparents, the afternoon unfolding in conversations about life, discoveries, and all the curious things happening in the world. There’s something grounding about listening to older voices — their stories are stitched with both memory and wonder.
Today didn’t ask for much. Just to notice. Just to be.
And I think that’s enough.
