Ok so I don't know if anyone else is into Apothecaria but it's so sweet. Basically, you play as a witch who is replacing the town witch who has gone missing in High Rannoc. Instead of dice you use a deck of cards for randomization.
Your job is to help those with ailments and get them cured up and then journal about the experience.
Like saying "today I cured my first patient. He was suffering from fairy fever"
You get to make your potion, name it and detail the actual process for making it. And of course a successful potion leads to healing leads to coin.
It's super fun and I think if you're wanting to get into solo RPGs it's great place to start!

Gable Hollow Prologue Preview
It’s been years since you’ve been back to Gable Hollow. Your family moved away when you were still a little kid. It went from being home to the place you only visited during the holidays. Although, if there was one thing Gable Hollow did great, it was holidays. Christmas was huge, so was Hanukkah, Eid, if it could be done big, the inhabitants of the town would do it as big as they could.
Seeing your grandma again was always the best part of going back. She was your favorite person and her home was always filled with games and laughter. At least, until you started high school and your parents split. You never knew why but they’d started arguing more and then it was over.
Those visits to grandma stopped and you only saw her thanks to Face Time.
She was always the same. Warm, welcoming. She told you stories about Gable Hollow. Said it was magic. And that you were too. Everyone who lived there was, or at least most of the people were. And those that were, she told you, couldn’t live anywhere else.
You’d smile and nod but you didn’t really believe it. If magic were real, surely you would have seen something. And if you were magic, then maybe you could have kept your parents together. She said the magic was real but as far as you were concerned, her belief In it was just one of those things that made her a little bit eccentric. The best kind of grandma.
After high school you moved to Portland. It had its own kind of magic. Everyone was welcome and there was comfort in that. No one cared about the fact you weren’t born there. No one cared that you were a bit of an outsider. Some of your college peers almost seemed to revel in that label.
For you it stung. But your grandma was always just a phone call away to comfort you. She said you’d always be welcome in the Hollow and to never let anyone make you feel like you didn’t.
Then you called and she didn’t answer. It wasn’t the weirdest thing. Your grandma was a busy woman. She was important to her community and people loved her.

Gable Hollow
Prologue
You haven’t been back to Gable Hollow in years. Not since your family moved away when you were a little kid. After that, you went back for Christmas, which the town did in excess. And the Eight Nights of Chanukah were always celebrated in stunning ways. Seeing your grandma was always the best. She had stories, games, and could always make you laugh. Until high school and your parents split. Then it was FaceTime with grandma. And her stories of the magic of Gable Hollow. There’s magic she would say. People lived there that couldn’t live anywhere else. You always smiled and nodded along but it wasn’t real. Not magic. But outsiders absolutely were. You’d lived in Portland when you were in college. Saw a lot of outsiders who didn’t care about their outsider status. And wished you could relate. That outsider label stung.
And then the news came. Your grandma died. It was a shock, she was in such good health and you’d spoken to her not long before. She had been fine. Then came the news that she’d left you everything. Her home and the small bookshop she owned,
After recently losing your job, that was a miracle. And if you could keep part of your grandma alive, there was no way you would pass it up. So you packed up your apartment, everything you owned in your old green Prius, and made the long drive to Gable Hollow
Full chapter tomorrow 12/29
Each chapter will end in a decision to be made for the main character. Inbox me for the answer you want, I’ll tally, then write from there. Yes, there will be werewolves, vampires, maybe some fae. I can't wait to build this story.

Gable Hollow news!
Hi everyone! Everyone who’s read Gable Hollow, thank you so much!
The origin prologue and first chapter will stay here but all new chapters will go up on my ko-fi where readers can donate! I’ve got a big medical bill I need to cover and if you enjoy the starry then maybe you could donate.
The prologue and first chapter I post on ko-fi will be edited a bit but it will still be interactive and still a paranormal cozy mystery in second person point of view and it will still be interactive!
I’ll post one chapter a week after a decision has been made on whatever the quest I have for the readers is.
Looking forward to continuing the story!

With Winnie-the-Pooh and The Battle of Hastings sharing an anniversary today, did you know that E. H. Shepard once drew this amazing scene for an exclusive book bag?

People mourned Notre Dame.
Israel has Gaza in a blackout ahead of a ground invasion and is dropping bombs. 75 years of apartheid, colonialism, genocide. A population of 2 million people, half of which aren't adults. Under 18.
And America is funding this. Disney. McDonald's.
A genocide is happening, who knows if Gaza and the Palestinian people will exist tomorrow?
This is evil. There's not other way to describe it. Fuck.

— looking for more fantasy writeblrs! ⚔️
after a few years of hiatus, I’m back! but…that means almost everyone I followed went inactive. please like, reblog, or reply to this post so I can find some folks to follow!!
particularly interested in writing blogs that…
- write fantasy, especially fae/elves or less popular fantasy “species” (dwarves, angels, orcs, you name it!)
- write myth, fairy tale, or folklore retellings
- have things published (whether that means on a retail site or just on your blog; I want to read!)
- write lgbt+ characters, double points for lgbt+ fantasy stuff
- write new adult or adult books. i love YA too but I write and read more new adult these days!
— about me
I’m a 20-something author who writes…pretty much what I described above. Fantasy novels that focus more on emotions and characters and world than wild adventures, often with lgbt+ characters or romances. I love elves of the Dragon Age variety, Greek myths, fairy tales, and moral ambiguity.
