The abrupt tonal shift almost made Ryan recoil, his smile faltering somewhat.

"Oh, uh... Right! Zah-free! Got it!"

Never one to frown for too long, the purple engine soon regained his cheerful expression as well. "Well, Sodor's a lovely place! Not sure how much you can see from the water... But there's a neat pirate ship down at Arlesburgh Harbor! And I've heard whales can be seen swimming around Bluff's Cove! Admittedly, I haven't much the time for those sorts of things. There's plenty of work for me on the Harwick Line!"

Ryan offered a sheepish chuckle. "My name is Ryan!"

Headcanons and Stuff~

Ryan loves listening to idle chit-chat. A woman talking about her job, some children throwing make-believe ideas around, a row of trucks complaining about the weather... It reminds him just how alive the world is.

One of Ryan's canine teeth, specifically his lower left, is particularly pointed. He feels self-conscious about it, and his smiles reflect this, showing more upper teeth than lower.

Ryan brakes for bugs. Whether they're butterflies or ladybugs, his trains slow for bugs.

Ryan's favorite color is, surprisingly, not purple. It is, in fact, gold.

One time, Ryan overheard a passenger with a funny accent say, "pretty as a peach." The romantic in him hopes that, one day, he'll find the opportunity to tell a fellow engine they're "pretty as a peach."
